Hi all,
It looks like I will have to carry on with my experiment for handouts by NPC’s over the weekend as there isn’t enough players online to run quests with at the moment.
Anyway this post is for those of you who need those hard to get dragon items, you know, the ones that only seem to get dropped if you break the dragons tail or back or if your extremely lucky enough to get them in the reward screen at the end of King Of Dragons Quest.
Well if your not quite strong enough to take a dragon out on your own and can’t find anyone to run the quest with you here is what you can do.
First you want to start KOD either 1, 2 or 3 depending on your rank, level and items your after, doesn’t matter if you can’t solo this quest as it’s just for the items you need.
Next you can kill some elementals on your way to the dragon you need, let’s say it’s the Wind dragon, it’s a bit of a hike and you’ll probably need your combo up to break his tail, then what? You don’t get the item drop, or you get only 1 and you need 3, so you go back, quit the quest and try again, wrong, don’t quit the quest.
For those that don’t know if you don’t kill the dragon but break his tail, run away, collect a few items from collect points, build your combo up again, after a few minutes his tail will reset and you can break it again.
This quest is an hour and thirty minutes long, in that time you can pretty much break the dragons tail as many times as you like without restarting the quest. And if you can kill a dragon then near the end of quest time take him out for more bonus item drops.
You can’t do this with the Ancient Dragon as he is the final boss and you can’t run away i’m afraid.
Just a tip to get dragons stuff quicker for those who didn’t know.

nice idea tony .
as for the armor i’m looking for a GR 12 to 15 armor with a DEX and AGI big boost coz when i re-incarnate for the 3rd or 4th time then i’ll just run BR2 speed run to rank up fast so i don’t think i’ll change my GR 8 armor until then.
PS:that is a 8 mile form lol.
So you can understand what i’m looking for i’ll tell you a little about my avatar’s build,
he is a spear master with a big HP,DEX and AGI boost, so the right armor&weapon for this build will be,
a middle wight armor with DEX and AGI boost and for the weapon it will be a spear with a high DEX i’m not looking for STR at all it has nothing to do with spear now i think you got the pic tony,
see what you can find for me.
thx
Hi Death,
Sorry haven’t been on today, and now i’m off out to the dentist, not me, the boys. Anyway i’m actually quite pleased your looking for GR 12 gear as I have most of it, there is no real GR 15 armor or weapons, it’s all GR 12 which makes it even easier.
I will get your info together tonight as i’m going to be out most of the day now and it should be up by the time you get on tomorrow, at least most of it anyway.
Sorry can’t quest today, maybe tomorrow after I get your info together. Good luck and kill a monster for me:)
Tony 🙂
Thx tony,
i didn’t know that the last GR armor and weapon’s stop at rank 12 thout there are 13,14 and 15 rank armor.
at least level 5 made some thing simple, so making it to GR 12 unlock’s the key to every thing, i’m looking forword to it and ofcours i’ll need your help see you soon mate
Ok i’m going to try and get some of those armor sets listed for you shortly but first I wanted to explain how the armor works, as in how you get most of it to show up in your armory, or rather the toad that binds all the stuff in your town. Yes all armor and weapons are GR 12, there is nothing for GR 13,14 or 15, even the Gratos armor and Knightlord armor is GR 12.
Now having said that when you hit GR 12 you will only see so many armor sets in the binding shop, there will be hidden ones which you won’t be able to see until you get hold of certain coins, this is where it becomes amazingly expensive.
What happens is when you upgrade your town to level 10 you will then choose your residents, you might choose farmers, mages and warriors for instance. This is ok and you will read that you only need to get your stats to 40/40/40 to get the max items in the shop/store. This is right but it is also not completely right.
A town that has 3 types of residents at 40/40/40 will show all the items in the store except for coins. These coins will only show up when you get stats to 50/50/50 and these coins will only ever show up in your own town, even if you come to my town which has 50/50/50 you won’t see the coins, it has to be done in your own town for you to see them. Once you have say warriors stats to 50/50/50 then 3 different type of coins will show up in your store, they will cost 150,000 Guilder each and in most cases just the top piece of armor will cost 6 coins plus certain items to bind with.
Now the best thing to do obviously is to save as much guilder as you possibly can before you get to GR 12, also it will be wise to keep at least 30 of everything you get item wise. I don’t mean items your using now but you will often come across items you don’t seem to need, believe me when I say you will need them sooner or later. I have made big mistakes in this game selling stuff I have a lot of only to find out a week later or even a month later I really needed those items.
This will help you out as once I post the sets your looking for you won’t have to waste precious money or items on sets you don’t need and you’ll know better what items not to get rid of as I will try and post some of the items you’ll need to upgrade a particular set.
Ok i’ll start on a post for some armor sets now, i’ve gone on long enough in this one and hopefully you can understand most of what i’ve said here. If you have any questions just ask away and i’ll help clarify any points I haven’t made too clear.
Tony 🙂
I think i’m going to start a totally seperate post on your armor sets as it will probably be a long one and at least others will see it better too. You said you wanted a spear build and are looking for armor sets with DEX and AGI with HP. The HP isn’t a problem as most sets give really big HP boosts at +10 but you didn’t mention VIT and many use VIT also when using spear so I will include any sets that use VIT as well.

Hey Tony back from my break now just to let you know will be on later on trying to farm that last hard massive jaw and aged skulls lol but let the farming begin hehe;=)
Hey George,
Welcome back, ahh that massive molar is what I need for upgrading something or other, need so much stuff can’t remember what it’s all for but I know I need some doggie stuff. I spent a couple of hours the other night farming KOD3 break tails then run away, got most of what I needed in those couple of hours but it was a bit boring running solo.
Look forward to questing with you some more soon.
Tony:)
tony i didn’t get the hidden armor’s deal, i saved alot of money and i don’t sell item’s, DHAAA!!!
this is the thing you have to do in every RPG game LOL.
i’ll bee in you’r town shortly
yeah im there in just over an hour got like 15 molars lol
Some armors and weapons are hidden, meaning you won’t see them until you get coins, once you purchase a coin then the armor or weapon will show up in the store that requires that coin. Trouble is to get the coins you have to have a town stat of 50/50/50. Also there are always 3 different types of coin for each armor set.
So once you get your town to level 10 you could then say get Greavers/Beasts/Lizards to 50/50/50 this will unlock 3 types of coin, Red Gratos Coin, Blue Gratos Coin and Green Gratos Coin, purchase one of these coins and it unlocks the gratos armor.
This is how you get the very best armors and weapons. The reason I say save as much as you can because you have to spend quite a lot of money upgrading your town to level 10, it’s like a catch 22 situation, you want to save your money for the coins but you have to spend money to get them to show up in the first place, lol.
Tony 🙂
that’s crazy!!! and the money trophy damn
yeah my town is like only level 6 and i could feel pain in the bank already just from developing the land so i dread to see the prices at 10 lol
LOL i don’t want to spend all my DEAR money on land
call me greedy if you want that’s hard work money i got
haha indeed but then its flip side is best gear for doing it the good old double edge sword thoery.
that’s what i hate about it no cash no A$$
i always find farming pearls is a good source of cash for me but im guess as you are higher those low lvl ones are worth nothing because in gr10 now they kinda suck in price. Tony wats your best farming advice then like which items?
Hi again,
Sorry I haven’t even been able to get on yet today, have been a bit backlogged in my work. Yes Death level 9 and 10 town is a lot of money to upgrade, can’t remember exactly how much but I believe level 10 is about 2 million guilder, I could be wrong though , it might be 200,000 which is still a lot.
George I think there are two ways to make the best money, big red runs because it’s a quick quest, even GR 15 still run big red for money. What I usually do is run big red 10 times then sell all pearls and items from the quest, it still takes a long time to get lots of money, I still can’t get the 10 million trophy, i’m being very tight with my money now and still I only have nearly 2 million.
The other way to get some good items to sell quickly is to run KOD 1, 2 or 3 depending on your level and take out as many elementals as you can, I sometimes spend the whole hour and a half going through the quest killing elementals, if you want to narrow it down more than that, just kill fire elementals, for some reason fire elementals are worth more than all the others.
Hope this helps some, sorry I haven’t managed to get on yet, may be able to get on all day tomorrow if I get my work caught up.
Tony 🙂
