Yes this is a personal opinion but I really don’t see the point of these. All this seems like Sony and Microsoft decided to improve in their own way on the Wii.

I didn’t buy the Wii because it wasn’t my thing and it was obviously originally designed for the much younger players who really like the interaction, but for me and other older players this system didn’t appeal to the majority of us.

So after blowing off the Wii we decided to get either the PS 3 or the XBox360 because these were the true gamers systems that were coming out with the most advanced games ever, and they were targeting the true gamers and the more mature gamers which was cool.

Personally games have always had joysticks or controllers and that’s the way we like it.

I’ve seen the commercial for the Konnect and it shows one person dancing in the middle of the room to the game while about 7 others sit and watch, this to me is a little too real but not real. If you wanted to dance and actually do the moves why not just go clubbing then the other 7 people could join in.

I think when something becomes so realistic it’s pointless, you may as well go out and do the real thing. Why pretend to swing a golf club in your living room when you can go play around for real?

As usual this will probably take off and then eventually all games will be required to be played like this, sorry but it’s not for me and personally I hope this doesn’t start a new trend of games, I like my controllers when I play video games, I don’t want to make an ass of myself in the middle of the living room swinging my arms and legs about, I can do that for free, and probably get more laughs.

All i’m asking Sony and Microsoft to do is sure, go ahead with your new gadgets but don’t forget there a still millions of us older gamers who still prefer the controller, and some of us don’t have the room either.

Tony:)
