Before I carry on with the Armor Sets I wanted to point out a few things for making your WKC gaming experience a little more enjoyable.

One thing that is fairly important but often overlooked is the use of elemental enhancements to your weapon and armor. I didn’t pay much attention to this until I was at Guild Rank 14 and 15, i’m only just now getting elemental enhancements how I want them when I should have done this pretty early on in the game.

Ok first off we need to know what elements are and what it means to perform an elemental based attack, it sounds complicated but it’s real simple if it’s explained properly.

You have four elements, Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. In WKC you will fight a lot of elemental based beasts but they will only use one element, an example is the Fire Giant, I pick this for an example because without a doubt you will run the Big Red quest more times than any other as it’s the easiest and quickest way to get your guild rank up and a good way to make some extra guilder. Big Red is a Fire Giant so will be weak against an opposite element like Water, so when you go to your shop to repair your weapons and armor your going to try and ‘enhance’ your weapon so it is even stronger. You may want to consider enhancing your weapon with water, this will increase the amount of damage you do to any fire based beast, like Fire Giants, Fire Lizards and Fire Dragons, it’s really effective and that is probably why you will see some players doing much more damage to an elemental beast when they are using the same weapon as you and are the same Guild Rank.

The downside to this is if you enhance your weapon with Water what happens when you come across a beast which is Water based like the Ice Giant? This is where multiple weapons are handy, this is not as bad as it sounds and it adds to the playability of this game. If you say GR 7 you probably already have a few GR 7 weapons, you will have your favourite, the one that does the most damage and maybe you have two or three other weapons that are not quite as good in terms of strength, these are the weapons you should enhance with Fire and Water, you can only enhance a weapon with one element so I recommend that if you have one good weapon, for physical attacks, and two other weapons, one enhanced 4 or 5 times with Water and the other enhanced 4 or 5 times with Fire, this will improve your attack by a huge amount against the right enemies.

I am GR 15 and my physical attack sword is the
Witchblade, it does some serious damage but is not enhanced with an element, the Witchblade is a GR 12 sword. I also have the Gram sword which is only a GR 11 sword and that is enhanced five times with Water, this sword does almost twice as much damage to Big Red than my Witchblade, that’s the beauty of enhancing with elements. I also have a Garrison Blade which is only a GR 10 weapon and this is enhanced with Fire, again a fairly weak sword for a GR 15 player but it still does way more damage than the Witchblade against Ice Giants and Ice Dragons.

So I hope i’ve explained that properly as now you can be the one doing all the damage on Big Red instead of being like me and feeling like a noob.

Whatever you do make sure you equip the right weapon for the right monster or beast. I have made the mistake by running a quest that has both Ice and Fire Dragons and after killing the Ice dragon forgot to change weapons and wondered why I was only taking 150 damage off the Fire Dragon when I should have been hitting him for over 500

Another important ‘skill’ I use is Haste, it is under Divine Magic and is the skill tree that has Heal, Cure, Revive etc..I’ve seen many players not using Haste but to me it’s one of the most important skills of the game, if you can cast Haste before the start of a boss it could be the difference between an S rank and an A, over the course of a boss battle taking 5 minutes you will probably get in 8 to 10 more attacks than someone who isn’t using haste.

If you have any questions that I haven’t covered here feel free to ask and i’ll do my best to answer them.

A good way to experiment with your elemental enhancements is to buy a real crap weapon and enhance it with Water and go run Big Red 1, you may get killed but you will be able to get a few attacks in, write down the damage you do then try a better weapon enhanced with water, or better still run Big Red 1 without enhancements, see the damage you do, then enhance with water and you’ll see what i’m talking about, it really does make a huge difference.
