Hi all,

Didn’t get much in the way of quests, did a Free Monster Quest (fmq) and one or two others but then time got away with me again and it was time for bed:(

There was a new member of the guild who had not yet really started story mode on WKC 1 so I would like to offer some advice to new players getting hold of WKC 1 or/and 2. One of the first things you should do is to complete story mode, there are many reasons for this.

Firstly if you go straight online as soon as you can, you limit yourself to what you can do, only low guild rank quests will be open to you and eventually you will have to finish story mode, especially in WKC 2, so you can open up other areas.

In WKC 1 if you finish story mode then you will be at a reasonable level and guild rank to be able to go online and hold your own with other similar leveled players. Also on WKC 1 if you start a new game+ you can get yourself extra items free, up to guild rank 7 and 8 armors and weapons as there are more chests with better items in them.

On WKC 2 you have to finish story mode in order to get Vellgander opened up, this is an area that everyone needs in order to get better equipment and weapons at higher guild rank and levels. If you do not finish story mode in both games you will seriously miss out on a lot of stuff and many quests. With Vell, you cannot join a vell quest even if another player has it, you just won’t be able to join unless you open it up by completing the story.

I know there are many games out there where you don’t have to even play story mode to go online, and playing online is fun, but with these two particular games I would advice very strongly that you really need to complete story mode in order to fully enjoy the experience.

Great, I hit level 80 earlier today and now my damage output is better than when I was GR 22 before I lost my save data, and i’m only GR 20. Got all the archer gear (level 3) apart from the boots and the AGI has made a big difference, I hardly get hit at all now, which is a big bonus.

Also using a couple of level 80 shortswords which has an attack of nearly 200, very nice. I am very tempted to rebirth as I don’t like shortsword but I will wait a while, maybe when i’m around GR 24 or 25 i’ll get the rebirths out the way. As i’ve said before, I want my end build as spear/bow and it’s very tempting to go for it now but it takes so long to get back to level 80 which is why i’m holding off.

Ran a few quests with the guild members tonight and it was good fun, Root of Evil and Jungle Jailbreak meant I got quite few nice items and managed to upgrade some of my gear to around +5 and i’m so pleased with my damage output now my enthusiasm for the game has returned and i’m really looking into the stats side of things for the different weapons.

There are so many different armors in this game it’s really hard to pick just one set, even a mix matched set, I think by the time i’m GR 30 i’ll be changing gear every quest, lol. Looking forward to experimenting a lot from this point on. Will update again over the weekend.

I’ve just been over to youtube and watched this amazing footage of one of the first videos online of the first part of Assassins Creed 3, it doesn’t really spoil anything as it just shows the introduction and part of the tutorial. It’s worth checking out so you can see how good it is compared to previous Assassins Creed games, so if you don’t have it yet this will give you a taste.

There are more of them but if you don’t want to spoil anything for yourself I would recommend just watching the first one, this guy is pretty cool too. And giving you a chance to win a collectors edition AC3 and console, very nice. Hope I win one, lol.

Hi all,

Very pleased with finishing story mode again, now I can concentrate on leveling up, getting my guild rank up and running different quests for materials. I managed to beat Madoras easier than the sun god and black knight, but that was because fighting Madoras I could use my own Knight which is level 7 now, so made short work of him.

Finishing story has also opened up Vell for me, I decided to run it solo to see how it goes and I did manage to get to the 4th level and open 3 chests before running out of time, what slowed me down on that was the fact that I wasn’t getting the right crystals drop so had to wait for respawns, ended up with about 11 amber when I needed one Jade, typical. Enjoyed it though.

One of the chests I opened had the Mithril Pants in so that was pretty cool, i’m wearing them now as they are decent DEF. I managed to get my level to 78 so only 2 more to go and I can start equipping level 80 gear, looking forward to that.

I’m pleased with what I got done in a few hours tonight, probably won’t play tomorrow but will be on all day Thursday and hopefully run a good amount of quests with the guild.

I have around 2 million points to get to hit GR 21 so i’m in no rush, ran a lot of Demithor In Peril 2 yesterday so will be looking to run a few different quests tonight. Will be trying to bind some new weapons and armor, possibly check the materials and run quests which will enable me to get the parts needed to upgrade everything.

Tried 3 times to complete story last night but every time Leonard’s White Knight died so i’ve been told to change my tactics. I was playing as the Moon Maiden (Yulie’s Knight), this is how I beat the game first time, but it’s been suggested that if I play as Ceaser then i’ll be able to keep the whole party alive through the sun god and black knight section.

I’m also going to switch to bow tonight as i’ve been using shortsword and not really getting the damage dealt that I was expecting. I’ve used bow before and now i’m at level 76 I can equip a level 75 bow which i’ve had for a while, this should enable me to hold my own much better in the GR 19 and 20 quests. At least I hope so, lol.

Still haven’t managed to get the binding shop to rank 20 but i’m about 300k worth of items off so should get that later tonight too.

I’m a little jealous of all of you who manage to get the new AC 3 which comes out tomorrow but in a way i’m better off waiting a while as if I got that game then I would probably stop playing WKC 2 and I really want to platinum this one.

Feel free to make some posts on AC 3 once you start playing it though as i’d like to hear how good it is and any disappointing areas if there is any.

I actually just hit guild rank 20 a few minutes ago, this now means I can level up to 80 (max) and use some of my best gear. I never did get around to finishing story so I will be doing that next so that Vell opens up for me, which is a good quest to get extra gear from.

I don’t usually run the same quest over and over but I really wanted to get to GR 20 so I joined a Demithor In Peril room this morning and ran DIP2 about 8 times which is all I needed. I should be able to get the binding shop to rank 20 today too which is as high as it will go, this means all, or at least nearly all, binding items will be available to me.

Ok well now i’m off again to play some more, may update again tonight, if not tomorrow. Anyone else on here playing WKC 2? Let me know.

Hi all,

Well another era of showtime is coming to an end. Personally I stopped watching Attack of the Show when it got stupid and started talking less and less about games. X-play on the other hand I watched all the time, and when I missed a show I got it on demand which was great as they always showed the latest releases, had many exclusive trailers and demos which you saw for the first time, it’s a shame that show is coming to an end.

And no, they haven’t given a reason, personally I thought it was just really taking off, with over 1,000 episodes, and a change of presenters, it was looking better than ever, but then, that’s the way things are, you usually get a really good show and start really getting into it just as the producers axe it.

Considering there aren’t any other game shows out there, it now means if you want to see the latest game trailers, you will have to hope they put them on youtube or in the PSN.

At least E3 2013 is still going ahead, these two shows will be finishing at the end of 2012 and most of the last shows will be about previous episodes, yeah great ending guys, let’s finish off in style, with shows that everyone has already seen, good job.

Hi all,

After hitting GR 19 yesterday morning I spent the rest of the day questing for materials to get some better gear, also got my level to 73, hopefully tonight i’ll be able to hit level 75 so I can equip some good weapons.

At the moment i’m a short sword user with bow as back up although I haven’t been using the bow as yet, i’m going to switch to bow as main when I hit level 75 as I have a level 75 bow which should be pretty cool.

I think this time around when I hit level 80 and GR 20 then i’ll get my 4 rebirths out the way, this will take a couple of days but I want to get to my main last build which will be bow and spear, using spear as tank and bow as damage/agility/tank if I can set it all up the way I want it.

I’m really missing GR 22 which is where I was before my corrupt save file hit me but hopefully will be back to where I was in a couple of weeks.

Last night was a lot of fun, I ran quite a few Free Monster Quests (FMQ) with some higher ranked players and hit the Chaotic zones, got tons of high priced materials and even some very rare items (worth over 3K each), this will be great when I get the binding shop to level 20 as i’ll be able to make some awesome level 80 weapons and armor.

Ok that’s about it for now, looking forward to playing for a few hours tonight, also when I get back to level 80 and GR 22 i’m thinking of making a few videos of some of the quests to upload to youtube and link them here, should be fun and also will show noobs how some of the quests are run.

Hi all,

Very nice, hit guild rank 19 about an hour ago, now I can get my level up to 75, and get me some decent gear. Actually I got decent gear at the moment for my level, but now I can get even better gear.

Ran a bunch of Demithor In Peril quests from a town that was max in ores so got a ton of good mats too, should be able to get the binding post up a couple more levels later. Going to attempt to finish story mode again today, then head back to our guild to quest with some of the other members.

That’s about it for now, will update again later.

Yes I ran quite a few quests last night and i’m at the point where I need less than 1 million GR points to GR 19, then I can get to level 75. I did pop into the guild now that we are level 9 but was a little disappointed to find nothing new.

I’m hoping we will at least see more vessels in the geostone exchange, and I did notice the statues had leveled up one. I was hoping another statue would have gone in but no, have to wait and see what happens tonight when I visit the concierge.

I don’t think i’ll hit GR 19 tonight but if not i’ll be on most of tomorrow so should make it then as long as I can find players to run with. I like to find a group that constantly runs quests, usually I get groups that like 10 minute breaks in between quests, but that’s ok too as I grab a coffee and a smoke, lol.

Everything is going well now apart from one little issue i’m trying to sort out behind the scenes, will update again tomorrow.
