Hi all,

Yep, I started White Knight Chronicles, this time it is going to be a total solo run for me, it’s actually quite a different feeling playing it alone, I would say it’s more relaxing, especially when running quests. Before I always had a feeling of having to do things a specific way because you were either relying on others or others were relying on you. This time I can take my time, do things exactly the way I want to do them and it’s like playing a totally different game.

I surprised myself when running my first couple of quests, I really missed playing this game. For those who have never played it, it is a very fun game, it’s probably more fun playing online with others, but I’ve done that before, played it for around two years and I never got bored with it. I actually stopped playing it before because most of my friends I was playing with moved on to the second one, which came out 6 months later over here.

Anyway, I’ve managed to reach guild rank 3, which isn’t bad seeing as I’ve only played for about 10 hours in total so far. I’ve got three S rank quests and am level 23, and I’m totally having fun, it does feel more relaxing this time around.Ā  I’m going to experiment a lot more this time, trying out the other weapons I didn’t use before, like the Axe, Shortsword, and Mage. Eventually, my last build will be Spear and Bow user which is what I ended up as before, it’s probably the best combination, especially when trying to solo.

Most of the quests have already unlocked and that’s probably due to the fact that the servers are going offline in a couple of weeks so I won’t have to buy too many. My biggest worry is going to be the 50 S rank quests and binding 450 items. I think the binding trophy shouldn’t be a problem and I believe there are enough quests for me to solo 50 S ranks but it may be tough.Ā  The time limit ones will be the most difficult, especially the ones where you have to run all over the place before 3 of us would split up and make the time limit for the S rank.

Anyway, that is all for today’s post, so I’ll update here as I go along, I have heard people say it’s possible to solo platinum this game but never actually met anyone who has done that, I will try and prove it and update each guild rank as I go along.

Hi all,

Well third day playing, right at the end of story mode now, also managed to get myself 5 S ranks and got myself to Guild Rank 5 which isn’t bad, I’m level 35 now and still enjoying it.Ā  I’m actually upgrading my weapons and armor as I go along which I didn’t do last time I played this. This time around, it’s fairly essential to upgrade some gear to keep up with the quests solo.Ā  I even managed to S rank big red while I was at guild rank 3 and that’s a guild rank 3 quest, that’s pretty good.

If I can keep this up, then I should be able to get the 50 S ranks eventually. I think to S rank guild rank 10 quests I’ll have to be at least guild rank 12 but I think I can do it, it will be a slow process but I love games that take a long time, it’s definitely a challenge. Should get my $100,000 trophy tomorrow, but that will be it for a while as the rest of the trophies will be very time consuming, looking forward to the rest of the week’s play.

Will update again at the weekend probably, happy gaming.

Hi all,

Started playing Borderlands 2, thanks to playstation+, as it’s a free download, yes the full game, and it’s way better than the first one. More quests, better storyline, more weapons, more enemies and even bigger, very cool.Ā  While i’m playing this one, if anyone wants to join me in storyline or sidequests, feel free to contact me. Also if any of you need help on any quests then again feel free to invite me to your session, my online ID is RPG_Reviewer, i’m level 22 and playing as the assassin.

I believe i’m about half way through the story but as it gets more difficult then I go back to clear up all the past sidequests, then continue. I’m also trying to get the platinum trophy for this one so am trying to complete everything if that’s any help to any of you who want to join me.Ā  That’s about it for now, see you on the battlefield, lol.

Hi all,

Yet again it’s been awhile since my last post, been busy doing lots of stuff but I have managed to still get some game time in. My latest game is Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen. This game is quite huge and it has a little of skyrim, assassins creed type games, yet it’s got it’s own uniqueness about it.Ā  Very open world, the story can be completed fairly quickly if that is all you do but if you decide, like me, to explore and do virtually every quest you will be on it quite a while.

The story isn’t anything too special but there are a great many attributes that make this game very addictive. You have the main quest,Ā  sub quests or notice board quests, then you have side quests which are not from the notice boards but from individuals in the many different towns.Ā  You have many vocations you can choose from, well actually three main vocations with a sort of sub vocation. An example is, if you choose to be a Strider , like me, you can then choose to be an Assassin, or if you choose Mage, you can then become a Mage Archer etc..very good fun. There are also a multitude of weapon types and variations which can be upgraded dramatically.

I’ve played through the storyline about 6 times, mainly to get everything I didn’t get on past playthrough’sĀ  and also to get my levels up high enough to enter the depths of Bitterblack Isle, which is just a crazy place with unique monsters and unique weapons and armor. The creators mentioned you may not want to attempt BitterBlack Isle until you are at least level 50. Personally, I would recommend strongly that you are closer to level 100.Ā  I go down there now to get some upgrades and still find it a challenge to go all the way to the bottom levels and i’m at level 130, I don’t know what the cap is but i’m guessing it’s around 200.

This game is free if your a playstation plus member and is definitely worth it if your a fan of games like Elder Scrolls. Happy gaming.

Hi all,

I managed to get 60% of the trophies before having to start over as I managed to glitch the whole game somehow, could be because it was a download, I don’t know.Ā  Anyway, I was in the middle of a quest when the game froze, when I came back I couldn’t fast travel anywhere.Ā  Long story short, I decided to start over on hard mode as that is a trophy too.Ā  Shame that I had 167 Lorestones out of the 170 needed, but I’ll get them again.

I’m actually enjoying playing through a second time, it’s like watching a really good movie the second time around, you get to notice all the stuff you missed the first time.Ā  I’m finding that I’m doing all the side quests in order to get my level up high enough to defeat the main quest bosses on the hard mode, it’s a pretty good strategy.Ā  I’m also putting points into the image side of things this time around to get the dispels trophy etc…

Well, I’m looking forward to playing a good few days on hard mode, it’s a really enjoyable game so if you are getting bored of not playing a decent RPG, then give it a go, it’s pretty cheap now too.

WKC update. |

Hi all,

I managed to get to Guild Rank 9 today, now comes the long haul as each guild rank gets further and further away, GR 10 is 5,000,000 points away but hitting guild rank 9 has opened up another four or five new quests for me. I have managed to get myself around 24 out of the 50 S ranks needed so i’m still hopeful that I can get the platinum for this one. Once the servers close down next week it will probably take me a few months to solo whatever is left but I don’t mind that.

Should be getting The Last of Us in a week or so and i’m also renting Skyrim again as I loved playing that game and I want to get that platinum on this account. While i’m writing about my WKC update i’d like to take the opportunity to thank all the players that have helped me out while i’ve been online. There isn’t many on there now and there are still a couple of idiots but I have had some great players run with me in a few quests. It’s just a shame we only have a short time together to get what we can while we can.

Will probably only update one more time before the servers go down, i’m really hoping I can hit guild rank 10 before they do go down, then it will just be the long haul to guild rank 12, I may or may not have to work my way up to guild rank 15 depending on the 450 item bind trophy, if some of the items are too rare then I may just end up grinding to 15 although it’s not essential for the platinum.

Well that’s about it for now, I will end up making some videos for Skyrim, yeah I know there are a ton out there but i’m sure I can think of something different, i’ll also be doing some vids on The Last of Us. So until then, happy gaming šŸ™‚

Hi all,

Yes this was the big question for me earlier in the week, but after hitting GR 8 yesterday and Level 47 I think I can do it. I know the servers go down in about a week so am making the most of it online while it’s available. I just got the trophy for 20 S ranks which really surprised me as that was the main trophy I expected to have trouble with. If I can get the other 30 S ranks by next week then I believe I can get the rest offline.

The only other very hard trophy to get solo is the 450 item bind but I do think it’s doable ( is that a word? ) Anyway I did get another trophy today and that was for binding 50 items as i’ve been binding items every chance I get. The other trophies will come over time but doing it solo means that ones like GR 12 will probably take a couple of months but i’m not too worried about it, I still love playing the game and if it keeps me on there longer that’s great.

Have found 3 people to quest with who are the same guild rank as me which really helps so will quest with them for the next week and hopefully get to around guild rank 10 before it goes offline, that’s my goal anyway. Will update more over the weekend as I don’t get enough done in one day to update daily.

Hope everyone is enjoying the games they are playing at the moment, keep on playing and let me know how it’s going for you all.

Hi all,

Well i’ve been caught up playing AC 3 for the last week so I apologize for not writing anything here. That is seriously how good this game is, really. If any of you loved Skyrim, I mean, who didn’t? Then you will love this game too, lets put it this way, it’s like Assassins Creed in skyrim, only bigger, much bigger.

It’s such an open world, it was three days before I came across a part where I couldn’t access due to the edge of the map, crazy huge this game is. So much to do, the main story is great but the side quests are so many, and it doesn’t get boring, it makes you want to complete everything. Graphics are amazing but there are a few glitches that can be forgiven.

They say you can platinum this game in around 60 hrs, to be honest, if you were playing it properly, investigating everything and enjoying the playtime, you could spend a few weeks on this without getting the platinum. I’m one week into this game and i’ve got around 70% but there are a few hard trophies, and a couple of time consuming ones, so you may as well do what I did, simply enjoy the game, do everything, and eventually that platinum will pop.

Last night I had a go on the multiplayer for a couple of hours and that puts yet another whole new aspect to the game, very enjoyable and very similar to Assassins Creed: Revelations. There is a good tutorial that I recommend playing before actually going into a match, and I see me playing multiplayer for a good couple of weeks, maybe longer. I will also play this game through again, it’s that good.

I really can’t say too much more without giving spoilers away, and believe me, I sooo want to tell more about this game, just go get it, rent it, buy it and play it, you won’t regret it, got to give it a 5 out of 5, nothing bad about it, seriously, you’ll love it too.

Hi all,

Yes it finally arrived in the mail today, and what did I do? You’ll never guess so i’ll tell you, I put it in my system and loaded that baby up didn’t I??? Of course I did. Once over the initial shock that I actually had it in my possession, I started to play, and what can I tell you? Well I can’t put it into words really, you know when you see something for the first time and your genuine reaction is “woooouuw (long wow), that’s my reaction, but that reaction is pretty dull compared to what you feel inside, it’s an amazing game from the outset.

Firstly you notice how much better the graphics are, and no, there are no youtube vids out there that does this game justice as far as the graphics go. After the first initial part, the prologue or whatever it’s called, you end up taking a ship to Boston, no spoiler, it’s just where you go, takes about 70 days to get there by boat but when you get there, this first place is massive, I mean talk about open world, this is like never ending, I spent 2hrs exploring the area before performing the first task and didn’t see everything or come to a place that wasn’t accessible, it seemed like I could run or swim forever, eventually I had to turn back before I lost the initial marker for the first task.

I can see me writing a lot about this game over the coming days, there is so much to do, so many side quests and places to visit, it reminds me of something like Assassins Creed in Skyrim, it’s just huge. I’ve got to stop writing so I can play some more, I haven’t even started playing as Desmond Miles yet, lol.

Will update again tomorrow and over the weekend, hoping to make some videos of this one too.

Hi all,

Managed to get that last bounty, couple of times Yulie died and so did Ceasar but I managed to hold on and finish him off for another 120K Guild Rank points, very nice.

After those I went online for a bit, met up with Abu and even Kaito popped in to have a chat, ran two Enemy Mine quests and on the second quest I hit the Flemron 108, how cool is that? Last time I had to run about 98 quests to get it, been very lucky this time around.

Didn’t manage to hit GR 22 yet but i’m about 400K away from it, may get there tomorrow night. Just want to thank Abu for running that with me, even though he was having a hard time with his connection, got dc’d on the last one. Also want to thank Kaito for hanging around and chatting, made a nice change, I still want that armor your wearing Kaito, lol.

Will update more over the weekend, if anyone has any questions on either WKC1 or 2 or any other game feel free to ask and even if I don’t know the answer I can find it for you, i’m a good researcher.
