Well after soloing Big Red 3 a few times I thought I would try some more level 3 quests. Last night I did Home Of The Knave 3 solo and it was reasonably easy although I did have to switch gear during the fight.
Worked out quite well as I got my Longsword combo up and hit him with that, then while he was on his knees I switched over to Spear and Shield to finish him off. Only managed A rank but I often only get A rank when playing with multiplayer anyway as we rarely do the sidequest.
I think I might try the sidequest too, not sure exactly what it is, I think you have to talk to a NPC at some point and kill all magi for S rank.
Still can’t solo Ancient Dragon but hoping to accomplish that when I get the rest of my Knightlord armor.
I’m also not spending much as i’m after that elusive 10 million guilder trophy, only got 1.8 mill at the moment which is why I farm elementals a lot in KOD 3 and I can take out the fire dragon in the hope of a dragon skull+
At the moment my stats are constantly changing for each quest as I chop and change my gear but my Longsword stats for quests like big red are ATK 388 DEF 341 RES 174 STR 210 SPR 112 AGI 156 and DEX 113 This seems ok for big red but I can easily add more STR if needed or up my AGI
When i’m using my spear I switch gear. When running a quest solo if i’m going to use spear only this is my set up: Tsukuyomi + 9 Royal Shield +10 Shadow Sollerets +10 Knightlord Pants +10 Valiant Armor +10 and Warrior Fists +10 Yes I know the Valiant armor is GR 11 but you shouldn’t think because an armor or weapon is a lower GR you shouldn’t use it, the Valiant armor gives me an added 35 VIT DEF 77 and an extra 128 HP
This set up gives me the following stats : ATK 290 DEF 605 STR 149 VIT 243 AGI 112 and DEX 113. If I start to get hit more than I want to then i’ll switch to the Warlords Cuirass giving me an added 44 AGI for a total of 156 AGI this does take away some from DEF but not enough to worry about and it means I get hit a lot less, hardly at all by mobs, if ever.
Well I hope some of this makes sense to you, i’m still experimenting with gear and i’m also trying to get more spears and swords to add elements to, soon I shall be a force to be reckoned with, at least to Kibbles and Vespids anyway, LOL.

Hi Tony,I hate the idea of switching armor in the middle of a boss fight, may make a mistake plus i try to be as fast as i can coz i’m short sword user.
This is the why i try to re-incarnate 4 times, to get the 360 point’s and finsh my avatar’s final build then i can work on GR the build is a shock to all player’s took me hour’s just to think of the build, thats why you’r going to see me a lot in your home town this week lol.
PS: IM HATE KIBBLES!! when im 35 ^_^
Hi again mate,
Yes it’s not a perfect solution and I wouldn’t do it during a multiplayer quest, I only switch during a solo quest so I can pick and choose the time to do it. Once a boss is on his knees you have a good 10 seconds which is long enough to switch weapon and even armor if your inventory isn’t too mixed up.
Having said that I do switch weapon a lot during multiplayer quests, a couple of examples are Nocturnal Commission being one, I use a wind enhanced weapon for the wild boars so I can kill them in one hit, then I switch to my water enhanced sword for the Cerburi (there are 3). Another example is the KOD 3, same as KOD 1 only harder, you have one of each elemental dragon so you have no choice but to switch if you want to maximize damage to each dragon. I always carry 3 swords on my character, one enhanced with fire, one with water and my physical attack only sword (witchblade)depending on a particular quest i’ll switch before entering a quests like KOD or SA
I only started this when fighting SA with pyrodemus and pyro rex, regular pyrodemus is weak to water attack so I switched and I was taking off around 200 extra damage just because of the water enhancement, this is a hard quest to switch weapons though, you have to be quick but in this case it was worth it, it also added about 1100 to my combo.
At the moment i’m trying to get some lethal gallstones for the Gratos armor but i’ll be around and quest with you when I get the chance, want to see you hit that magic GR12, then you’ll see everything open up for you, new quests, armor, weapons, better money too, still slow but it keeps you wanting more, WKC 2 should be fun.

Hi,
I think that ‘good 10 seconds’ will be much powrful to you’r side if you started to hit the boss faster coz in that 10 seconds the damage go up to 20%.
my idea is to hit the downed boss with a long combo’s, but in the end its the player’s choice may work in some classes not all as you know i’m a short sword user so i’m looking for speed in my action but it’s alway’s useful to try other player style to learn NOT COPY!! until you find your own style.
tony im tring to get all 4 re-incarnation’s fist to reach my avatar’s full build i have in mind i did the 1st as you already know i’m at level 45 know as soon as i hit level 50 i’ll re-incarnate again it’s not hard at all but take’s some time and a strong head to do one right after the other(get lot of headic’s coused by kibbles LOL).
I have a question, as we all know the spear class is the most powerful class coz it has high agi, str and def, but is it true that player’s with spear class mostly fall if hit in a fight?
and you still havent told us about you’r spear test when you re-incarnated and maxed the spear skill set.
thx see you in town soon
Hi Death,
Yes it true, each person has to find what is best for them which is why there are so many different options, mine is just one of many. There are of course some bosses you want to save your combo for when he’s down to take off more damage, at the moment i’m just experimenting as there are fewer players now i’m seeing what quests I can do solo and how best to achieve that goal so I may come up with some dubious ways of fighting while getting there.
I’ve been wanting to test my spear abilities but to be honest i’m a little nervous of entering multiplayer with spear in case I make a fool of myself. I’ve tried solo as you know and have done ok but not what I call brilliant, still got to test more and switch things around until i’m confident I can hold my own with others.
Yes some spear users will get knocked down easy when hit simply because they may be using STR only, tanks will pump up on defense and agility and get hit less and if they do get hit can take the damage as it’s much smaller.
As I mentioned earlier I can get my DEF to over 600 but my attack or strength suffer a bit, I can do a reasonably good attack with defense as low as 460 to 500 but am still experimenting with that part, trying to get a decent balance without sacrificing on ATK DEF AGI is the key I think which is why i’m trying to get more armor sets together so I can mix and match. As with your levelling up it all takes time but I enjoy it a lot.
Sorry I missed you today but hope to catch you more over the next few days and help you with your levelling or items you need. Happy questing.

Hi George,
Am always pleased to help out, thanks so much for the comments on my town, i’m glad you like it. Have a great few days break, then come back and we’ll break some tails together. Good luck

Just checked out that youtube video, as expected the detail in the towns look like a great improvement on the first one, they didn’t need to though as I thought the towns were pretty cool anyway, nice to see a game get better in details, it’s when they sacrifice game play for details that’s bad but I think WKC 2 is going to be a must buy for me.
A game hasn’t held my attention for so long since Oblivion and Resident Evil 5, even though i’ve been playing this for 5 months now I can’t believe i’m not bored of it or burnt out on it, it’s a great game and i’ll probably be playing it right up until WKC 2 release date.
Thanks for the link.
Tony ; )
nice video goerge this is a must get game i had WKC for a long time but was on my game’s waiting list i i did know it was this good maybe would’ev got the platin trophy by know.
I know this is a late reply, after my ps3 got formatted (due to technical errors) i’ve recently start WKC again, any chance people are still playing this? As i just finished story again and thinking on trying the online again
Hello Ryan,
Yes plenty of people are still playing WKC, not so many playing from the map online now though, most are running from towns but it’s usually fairly easy to find a town with plenty of different guild ranks in so your not too late to get help with any quests.
Thanks for stopping by, if you need any addtionaly help with quests/tips/info you can always pop over to our forum at http://www.theguildmasters.com/forum
Tony:)
