Those New to WKC 2 |

By Tony

Hi all,

Just wanted to bring a couple of things to your attention if your just starting to play White Knight Chronicles 2.

First of all, when it comes to rebirthing, which enables you to gain extra points to put into your skill trees, try and hold off until around GR 22 as it is a long process to get back to level 80 otherwise.

I just did my first rebirth at GR 21 and it took me around 4 days to get back to level 80, admittedly my time is limited so that wasn’t four straight days but still, it took a while.

I have been told by various guild members that it is much quicker if you wait until your GR 22 or higher. Having said that, if you do decide to rebirth before hand, I found the quickest way is to go to bunker load caverns Free Monster Quest and enter Chaotic Rift, go alone and let your two other characters die, this way you will get around 1200EXP per lizard/sprog kill which is pretty good.

Another thing to wait for is your geotown, it is easy to want to create a town early on but it doesn’t really do you any favors, it costs a ton of money to upgrade and a lot of time and effort to get any decent harvest points. I recommend you wait and quest from those towns which have 60/60/60 stats to maximize your harvest after each quest.

Also try and keep at least 25-50 of each items you get, every item in the game has a use and if your going for all trophies you’ll need even the smaller items for binding etc..

Later in the game, from around GR20+ you will get items that are worth lots of money so it is easier to get a ton of money after GR 20, some items sell for as high as $5,000 or more.

Lastly make use of your guild, every day log in and visit your guild town to get 3 tokens, even if you don’t have time to play get your tokens as they help you and the guild progress and get better items.

Ok that’s about it for now on the game i’m playing, if your looking for help just look for me under username Assassin or find the guild “In God We Trust”.

I’ve been reviewing the new Assassins Creed and will post my review later tomorrow, believe me, it’s worth the wait.

Tony 🙂

For those who haven’t yet got the game and are thinking of buying it now would be the time, it’s a great game with so many hours playtime it was worth the price when it was new, but now you can get it for as little as $10 at amazon.

For those who read my blog regularly if your interested I am just now about to rebirth again, it’s almost a continuation of the last post.

I’m interested in getting the max use from spear and in order to do that I need to rebirth again as this last time I went and filled the Elemental skill tree thinking I could make use of that but I was wrong, it’s got some great spells but it’s really for mages I believe and I can’t specialize in spear if I have all those Elemental spells.

The reason i’m posting this info is if there are any of you about to rebirth or thinking of going with spear or maybe you just want to tag along i’m going to open my room up for the next couple of days.

Doesn’t matter what Guild Rank you are if you want to run some quests or just need help or maybe give me some advice on the spear your all welcome.

Be forewarned that you may see me act out of character or perform what you may think is a stupid move, it will be just because i’m getting used to the spear. Ok i’m off to rebirth again now (for the 7th time), hope to quest with some of you soon.

Tony 🙂

Well here I am again, after my rebirth i’m back at level 50, about a day and a half it took, not bad really. Anyway I haven’t been able to get the hang of the spear, it’s really good for some attacks and really crap for others.

Much wasn’t making any sense as I reset my enhancements on the spear and added +5 water, went to try it out on fire beast and it was worse, couldn’t understand it, so I messed around with some stats and it turns out that by upping the VIT it improved the ice and water attacks by a lot, actually improved a lot of attacks overall, just by getting the VIT up.

This is obviously going to take me a while to work out, i’m going to spend several hours trying out different things, this is not like the longsword at all, it’s more complex probably due to the amount of different attacks that rely on different things, will write more on this as and when I know more.

I did give some bad advice in an earlier post when mentioning if armor was used with an added Fire element you would be more resistant to Fire attacks, this is correct but at the time I was referring to the Big Red quest and adding Fire to armor does nothing for you in that particular quests, Big Red doesn’t use fire attacks, even though he is a fire giant he only uses physical attacks.

Fire enhanced armor will still make you more resistant to fire attacks but the only monsters that use fire attacks are fire dragons and pryodemus, not fire giants, just wanted to correct that earlier mistake, sorry.

Well before I wrote the post on GR 12 armor sets I decided to play for a while and got the urge to rebirth, I still wasn’t entirely sure what I should do but knew I wanted to try out the spear.

After visiting curious george who set my stats back to level 35 and unequipped my person I got out of there and started to look at what armor and weapon I could use at level 35, searched through my whole inventory and all I could find was, wait for it, a shortsword called Sai, this is a level 25 shortsword with an amazing attack of 38 and that’s with +5

Well it’s been over 3 months since I rebirthed so I thought to start things off and see how it goes i’ll start with Boot Camp 2, oh yes and by the way my outfit was a level 30 Innocents gear, at least I had the whole set, DEF was about 19, anyway so I goes into Boot Camp 2 and I could not stop laughing, it was taking me 3 attempts to kill one Kibble and that was with ‘Inspire’.

Well it took me so long to work things out that I never got to write anything on the blog but thought I would share my rebirth with you all.

I did eventually get past level 35 and once I hit level 36 I managed to find myself a longsword, Ornate Greatsword which was +10 with an attack of 115, that”s more like it.

Needless to say I was doing considerable more damage to those Kibbles, so much so that I decided to run the Caravan quest and managed to get myself to level 38, I even managed to take 2 king trolls down, yes I was well pleased with myself until I realized I was only on the first caravan quest.

I will attempt to get back to level 50 so I can wear some real gear but I laughed so much at those Kibbles knocking me around I nearly wet myself.

In case you wanted to know what i’ve decided to put my points into, here’s how i’ve done it so far:

Kept my longsword tree at 94% just in case I can’t get on with the spear, spear at 100% and I know I won’t use all that but I need to be able to try it all out so 100% it is, then i’ve got the Axe at 34% simply to get the added HP and STR Up, Divine magic at 77% because I can’t live without healing, raise, inspire and fortify and haste, then i’ve put 36% into elemental magic skill tree, yes I know this is completely wrong for spear users but as most know i’m not your typical user, I always want something different so i’m trying to include many different things into my game. Anyone thinking i’m a tank will be quite mistaken and probably disappointed when I show up, but i’m an attacker, that’s how I play and I’m going to experiment big time with these new skills.

Ok so I now have 12 more levels to go with 4 points per level giving me a total of around 50 more points to allocate at level 50, I think i’m going to put them all into the Elemental tree because I have a sneaky suspicion this might be a little bit awesome along with my longswords and spears, i’ll probably end up surprising a lot of players (or pissing them off).

Well I hope this works out, i’ll have to spend about a week playing on my own learning all the techniques so as not to look like a noob, I think everyone will think there are two Assassins when I get back into the quests.

Ok will get on with those other posts I promised this evening, man I wish I had a video of those Kibbles, so funny:)

Yes i’m seriously considering reincarnating one more time in White Knight Chronicles. I’ve rebirthed five times up until now and although I don’t particularly enjoy working my way back up to level 50 it’s not so bad, probably take about a day now.

There are several reasons why i’m thinking about this, the first is mainly because no matter what I can’t seem to get a GR12 longsword, the second reason is i’ve seen some seriously heavy attack combos with players using the spear, the added extra with the spear is that you can hold a shield too which boosts your attributes even more.

My biggest problem with another rebirth will be what skill trees to use so i’m looking for some help here before I decide to do this or not. BO is a spear user and if your reading this BO I would very much appreciate your input. I want to keep the Divine magic set as I still want to be able to heal, raise, haste etc…they are quite important in most quests, at least to me they are.

So keeping the Divine magic tree and then the spear tree is already taking up a fair amount of my skill points. Obviously I don’t have to max them to 100% and I probably wont, the trick is how to even everything out decently but still keep what I want.

In the Divine magic skills I don’t use fatigue, molify, slow, or silence so I won’t waste points on those. At the same time I want to have a second weapon skill available in case I don’t get on with the spear or in case I want to use another weapon on certain quests, like for enhancing with certain elements for certain battles. I don’t particularly like the shortsword as i’ve tried that but I was thinking of the bow as a second weapon, again not maxing the skill out but getting enough to at least do elemental combos.

So here is one way for me to go, probably max out spear (unless advice tells me otherwise), then get the skills I know I will use in the Divine magic, then I would still want to even out the other skills for the extra MP, HP, STR etc..and hopefully have enough left over to get say 50% of the bow skill.

The bows i’ve personally found not that hard to get hold of so I could have four bows, one for each of the elements, many battles seem to involve dragons or giants at some point which are all weak against one element at least, so my bows would give me the edge I want during these battles.

The spear I would use as my main weapon against all other enemies. Now by using spear and possibly a shield this may lead other players to automatically assume that i’m a tank, this is what I do not want to become, I love the attacking and I would get no pleasure from tanking, but again i’ve not paid much attention to what a tank actually does.

From what I know a tank uses threaten to attract all the attacks on himself while others kill the boss, this sounds fairly easy but I also heard that a really good tank will heal too, so you need to be extremely high on defense and resistance, attract the attention of the boss, take all the damage and heal if you can, no attacking could be quite boring for me leading to loss of interest in the game and I don’t want to do that, another reason I want to hear from other spear users.

At the moment i’m still working on the 10 mill trophy and the 450 item bind trophy so i’m not doing any particular quests right now, a bit of everything as I can use most drops from most quests to bind something or other, I missed a lot of lower items so i’m managing to bind quite a few each day even while i’m helping lower Guild Rank players.

I look forward to any help, advice or tips anyone can give me, if I rebirth again it won’t be until around midweek when i’ve really had chance to think about it more and gather advice from others.

Tony 😉

After reaching the infamous Guild Rank 12 I decided to rebirth for the 5th time in this game. This was so that I could maximize the skill tree. I decided to max out the longsword skill as usual and the divine magic skill. With the rest of my points i’ve spread them out at 32% equally between most of the other skills so as to get maximum health and mp.

I’m now back at level 49 with the hope to hit level 50 tomorrow so I can get back into my valiant armor which hopefully should put my health up to around 1,000HP and give me around 400MP

The only regret I had rebirthing this time was as soon as I did rebirth they put a couple more new quests in so I can’t wait to have a go at those once I get back to level 50.

I’m also going to attempt to reach Guild Rank 13 sometime next week so I can upgrade my Geo town as I really need some more trades there to get the gear I need to upgrade even more, i’ve still been looking a bit like a novice even against guild rank 12 players simply because I didn’t have my skills leveled out evenly and lack of knowledge of the elemental side of things but that’s about to change.

Still willing to help anyone that needs it and i’m also taking advice when others offer it and it’s still a great game. I just hope I can hit Guild Rank 15 before WKC 2 comes out. Happy questing:)

Another Day On WKC |

Well today I re-incarnated for the third time. Thanks to some decent help from other WKC players I managed to get the items required to get hold of a nice little shortsword called the Demonsword, there is also a longsword with the same name but I don’t think I can get that for a while yet which is why I decided to rebirth a third time so I can learn the shortsword skill.

A tip for anyone re-birthing or re-incarnating is on level 35 you can quickly achieve level 36 by doing the Boot Camp 1 quest in Balastor Plain, once you hit level 36 you can go onto Boot Camp 2 which will gain you levels fairly quickly, especially if you have upgraded a few decent weapons.

When I first re-birth I use the Castleguard armor which is fine for that level, I use the Grandsword for level 35 which is more than enough but as soon as I hit level 36 I then equip my Ornate Greatsword, i’ve enhanced this weapon to it’s max of 10 so it gives a whopping 115 Attack with an extra 23 HP and +4 STR and VIT -10, losing 10 on VIT isn’t a big deal at this stage as your just trying to get back to level 50 as quicky as possible, this sword has also been enhanced with water element so it’s ideal for Big Red 2 mulitplayer as soon as you hit level 41.

You can get hold of Arcanum Earrings from the shops and that increases your MP by 30 which is handy but you lose 30 HP which again is no big deal at this point.

Level 43 see’s me change into the Earth armor but I change my weapon at level 41 to the Evil’s Bane longsword, this one has been enhanced 8 times which gives an attack of 130 MAG 10 HP +17 STR+2 with VIT -16, this weapon is ideal to get you all the way to level 50 or you an choose to equip the Arondite at level 49 if you have it, this one is my favourite longsword and has an attack of 145 HP +11 and INT+4, this weapon is a little harder to get your hands on.

This time around i’m going to try out my new Demonsword and once i’ve upgraded as much as I can with this weapon i’m going to see how it stands up to my favourite longsword.

The shortswords don’t have the same kind of attack strength as the longsword but i’m betting it may just be a better option as you can hold a shield too because it’s a one handed weapon, i’m hoping that by upgrading both shield and sword it will probably even out but maybe the shortsword will outshine the longsword because you should be quicker, more agile and hopefully have a chance of better combo options, I will update as and when I find out.

I’ve changed my Georama town completely to try and achieve farming more of the rarer items needed for upgrading so instead of having a few residents of each trade i’ve just selected warriors and minors, this has put my stats up a lot compared to when I had something of everything and i’m farming much rarer items compared to my previous town.

Remember if any of you need some help either to get your guild rank up or get some S ranks for quests you haven’t managed to get yet just let me know and i’ll help out where I can.

Tony 🙂
