Hi all,
Yes reached GR 16 last night thanks to my friends at the guild, have to thank Rodrigo and CJ for that, got some great materials from Jungle Jailbreak too, think we ran it about 4 times.
Just before signing off for the night I tried to finish story but Leonard is still too much of a baby, he died just before I could finish the Sun King, oh well, will have to level Leonard up a bit later today.
Looking forward to the guild event night this weekend, hopefully get my GR up some more, try to get that silly Flemron 108 to finish errands, get some more bounties done, still quite a bit to do, then I need to start binding some armors and weapons as I haven’t been doing that much, been donating stuff to Mr.Froggy to open up more gear.
Ok well that’s the plan for the next few days, hopefully see some of you there, if anyone pops over here and is new to the game feel free to join the guild “In God We Trust” they are a great bunch of players who really help out everyone, no one gets left behind.

Redhorn Isle (WKC 2) |
ByHi all,
Yes I actually reached Redhorn Isle, and completed it yesterday. I know many are saying that it’s like a maze but in fact it can be fairly straightforward. Having said that, it can be easy to get lost or miss an area too.
I found that by keeping an eye on your map, especially after quite a bit of fighting, you can methodically work your way around without missing anything, especially if your like me and want every chest.
What I did was to work my way left, taking out every enemy, which actually netted me some cool stuff along the way, especially with the gigas. Then work my way back towards the elevator in the center and then work my way right. The parts where you can get messed up are the little ledges that sometimes you don’t notice exactly where they are unless you scrutinize the map.
Always double check the map as you can easily step off a ledge at the wrong point and miss a chest, also try and complete a whole section before moving on, and make sure you have completed a whole side before crossing over to the other side as this will result in some missed loot.
Anyway, after completing the 3 crystal things, I got the moon maiden bow by the way, and do not miss this bow, it is located in a chest at F5 on your map. This bow will save you a whole bunch of trouble and make boss fights, especially Brimmflamme, a breeze. This bow has all four elemental attacks and they are awesome. Even this early on Yulie’s ice attack was taking off over 1200 from Brimmflamme, he didn’t stand a chance, lol.
I spent the rest of the day hunting bounties which eventually got me to GR 16 and level 64 so I was pleased with my progress. Once some of my other party members reach level 60 I will finish story mode, as I only have the Madoras battle to complete. After completing it once already I don’t need a difficult battle there, just want it out the way so I can get Vell opened up. At level 60 and myself at level 65 the fight shouldn’t be too much trouble.
It’s strange as I asked quite a few people for help last night and didn’t get any which was disappointing, usually players will help in a second, must have just been one of those nights, they either totally ignored my request, left the room or gave me a vague answer which basically meant not right now.
Eventually I found a room with some helpful guys and ran Jungle Jailbreak about 3 times which gave me another bunch of useful items.
My next step is to finish up some more bounties for my level, try and get the last 15 or 20 errands done, then level up my guild rank to around 21 or 22 so I can hit level 80 after completing story, sounds like a plan.
If anyone wants to run with me, help me, or wants help themselves just let me know or send me a friend request, online ID Tony-T-Leaf, in game ID Assassin.

Hi all,
I’m referring to purchasing games, i’m sure not all of us do this but I refer to myself as an old school gamer, not just because of my age, more because i’ve had every system since the Atari. Now when it comes to purchasing these latest awesome games, it is worth the wait, more often than not you don’t have to wait too long before a price on a great game can drop as much as $30, which now can be a lot for some.
Also even though I would love to own a specific game on the day it releases, i’ve learned over the years that it can pay by being a little patient. Lets take an example here, within 5 months of Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur, the price had dropped to less than $20. When you think that these games are the standard $60 when they first come out, for the sake of waiting 3 to 5 months it really is worth it.
The added bonus of waiting these few extra months is pretty good too, firstly you have all the info posted online if you ever get stuck when you do start to play, also this is about the time when download content such as add-ons start to appear to keep the game play interesting and keep players playing the game for longer. On top of that when you do start playing there are a ton of players already playing the game that don’t mind helping you out.
So this is why us old school gamers prefer to wait a little while, if you have $60 to blow on a brand new game, save your money, let the game come down to around $30 and you then have the money to buy either another game or two or get all the add-on content, not a bad policy really. Using this argument I also see quite a few kids making deals with their parents, you know like “well if I wait for 3 months can I have two games? pretty please?” you get how it goes.
Ok now in order to answer the question i’m obviously going to get after this post, I am looking to get Kingdoms of Amalur as it looks like a really cool game, also if I buy it at the price now (less then $20) and it turns out to be not to my liking then I haven’t lost too much. I was never going to buy Mass Effect 3 but at the price you can get it now I probably will.
Of course there are still games I would love to own the day of their release ( like AC3) but I won’t let it get me down too much if I can’t afford it, as I know I will be able to get it in a few months and probably with all the DLC too.
To finish off I would also like to point out that over the course of a year, even if you just buy 2 games per month, by waiting until they come down to around half price, that is a saving of $720, bet you hadn’t thought of it like that, I mean that’s the price of two PS 3 systems.

WKC 2 Update on play |
ByHi all,
Ok so I managed to get to Redhorn Isle again last night, after leveling up to 58 I decided to try and get my knight, was quite a battle but I did in fact manage to get him so i’m pretty happy about that.
Also managed to hit GR 15, and i’m caught up on all the errands at this point. I believe more errands appear a bit later on as they are not all done. Not looking forward to getting that rare Flemron 108 again.
I’ve only done about 3 bounties so tomorrow i’ll be hitting those pretty hard, I think by the time i’m done with most of those I should be GR 16, then i’ll go online and try and get to GR 20, then back to finish story as i’ll be around level 63-65
I’m quite enjoying it this time around which is surprising, at first I didn’t even want to play it again but with skipping the cut scenes and my setup being much better this time around it feels like i’m accomplishing stuff at a reasonable pace, not too fast but not too slow either.
I’m still popping into the guild every day to get my tokens and have already managed to get hold of some level 80 armors which will come in handy when I actually get to level 80. Also this time around i’m not selling much. What i’m trying for is while i’m getting back to my original status (before losing my data) is to save as much mats and money as I can which in turn should net me another trophy.
Well that’s about it for now, will update again after tomorrows play. I’m also in the process of trying to come up with enough money before the 30th to buy Assassins Creed 3, now that would be cool.

WKC 2 play update |
ByHi all,
Ok so i’ve got to the part where we are in the balandor castle, i’ve now just got to go into the past and am about to fight the black knight I believe. Trouble is i’m not quite at the level I want to be to carry on, really wanted to get to the point where I get my knight.
Still, it’s not too bad as I do have Yulie’s knight now which is a plus. I think i’ll go online for a little while to level up a bit more, would like to get to around level 60 before I carry on, i’m level 52 at the moment. Also I have to do some more bounties as I haven’t been doing many of those due to running around with all the errands, i’m about half way through the errands this time.
That’s about it really for now, still GR 14 but hope to get that to around GR 20 over the weekend and start playing with my guild again, must finish story first though as I really want to get Vell opened up again.

Dishonored |
ByAnother new game released by Bethesda, yes that got your attention, because they make some of the best games ever, is called Dishonored.
This one is an extremely good stepping stone for those who was hoping for a Thief 4 release, as your pretty much an assassin, lots of dark shadows and places to hide, making kills or choosing not to. Of course you never started out that way, you was a bodyguard of an Empress, until you were framed for her murder. Already interesting isn’t it?
So now you have to set out to get those that framed you, sounds easy, and fun, yet there is a lot more to it than that.
The game is a vast open world and you have numerous weapons and abilities some of which will quite amaze you. A very realistic game of stealth, or not, depending how you want it to play out. See you can either kill all your targets head on, or you can choose to surprise them and kill them stealthily. Ahh, but it has also been said that you can go through the entire game without killing anyone, how cool is that?
This game has a lot of playability, and when I say that I mean you won’t mind playing through it a second or even a third time.
There are so many different ways to kill someone in this game you won’t get bored of it, and the scenery, graphics and animation puts this at the top with all those other epic movie type games out there. The story could have been more detailed and slightly better but that takes nothing away from the gameplay.
This is another one on my personal list and it’s already available to buy, on both the PS3 and XBox360, so if your looking for a cool assassin game to play while waiting for AC 3? Go buy this one, you won’t regret it.
Tony 🙂
Hi all,
Yes there are at least two gameplay videos of the new Assassins Creed 3 on PSN which I really recommend you download and watch. One is of the city and one is out of the city and surrounding area.
After watching them several times, and yes it is addictive just to watch, I couldn’t believe how everything flows so well, very natural and seamless. I love the part where you can blend into cover, a little brush and you can crouch and become almost invisible.
This becomes part of not only stealth play for assassinations, but also for hunting game so you can sell for profit to stalls in towns.
There are also many new ways to distract guards, like using the dart rope to hang a person which, in turn attracts the guards while you sneak around another way. Also assassinating from moving carts is a new area. Before you could only do this from stationary carts, now you can jump onto and into things while they are moving.
You won’t be able to heal while in battle, although this seems like a downside it is more true to life, you can heal once a battle is over. The idea is to keep all the movement, even in battle, flowing and getting the right moves performed so you can get through in one piece.
Much of it sounds complicated but as with all the great games it always takes a little while to get used to the mechanics of the game but it is always worth it in the end and I think this will take little time to get all the controls down pat.
Check the two downloads out, you won’t regret it and you will be even more desperate to get your hand on a copy of this, I can’t wait, lol. The downloads only take a few minutes on a good connection and you can watch them while they are downloading.

Started WKC 2 again. |
ByHi all,
Yes after my mishap and getting a corrupt save data I was a little annoyed (actually pretty crazy) but i’ve settled down, counted my losses and started again. Haven’t done too badly this time around.
Skipped the cut scenes so i’m about half way through story mode again, done about 1/3 of errands and made it up to GR 12, not bad for a day and a half. So what next? Well if my guild hasn’t booted me then i’ll finish story and hopefully get to around GR 20 and go back to join them again.
I wasn’t about to expect my guild friends to carry me from GR 1, I know they would have but at the end of the day you should be able to get to around GR 20 without help, from then on you need the help.
So hopefully by this weekend I will be able to join my friends again and get some decent online play going again. Will also be looking at some more new releases next week and working some more on the forum.
Tony 🙂
Hi all,
Yes I just got up from my chair to go for a tea and trod on the cable which then unplugged my PS3 system, when I did get to restart and restore system my two save files were corrupted. Tried to restart to see if it would correct itself but still both files were corrupted.
This is a real shame as I was really getting into the game, just made a bunch of really cool friends within the guild I was joined to and now this. It wouldn’t be so bad but i’ve spent quite a few weeks finishing story and getting to GR 22 and it’s all gone.
I don’t know if any of you have had this happen before but it happened to me once on WKC 1 and it took me 6 months before I would play the game again, this time it feels worse than back then. I did start a new game to get to a save point so I could get back online to inform my guild why I won’t be playing for quite a while, i’m just not ready to start over, not yet anyway. I’m angry and sad at the same time but these things happen and we have to grin and bear it or you just go crazy.
I will probably get back to it one day but at this moment I just want to throw it in the garbage. Anyway I just wanted those who visit here to know why i’m not going to be on WKC 2 for a while, if ever again.
I think at least for a while i’m going to concentrate on running the blog and getting the forum up and running so hopefully we can all chat on here and you guys can give me updates on how you are all doing. Thanks again for everyone’s help during my game time on WKC 2. I really appreciated that.

Assassins Creed III |
ByThis game is really going to blow your mind, just like Skyrim did with never before seen graphics and animation, this one has gone even further.
The Ubisoft Anvil Next engine has taken the game to the next level. Everything in this latest installment is bigger and better than ever. More realistic than you could ever imagine a game to be.
The story is set around the 1770’s and the american revolution, you play as Connor, whose mother is American and English father and you are fighting to save your homeland.
This world is massive, going from cities, to woodland and battlefields to oceans. A huge game with an awesome storyline, many new weapons, including more guns. There are also tomahawks, rope darts, knives and more.
Even the weather system is magic and extremely realistic compared to many previous games. The battles are much more detailed and realistic and you can either fight face to face or use your stealth to take enemies out either by surprise or from a distance.
It’s actually quite impossible to describe a game like this to someone who hasn’t seen it, you just have to, at the very least, watch some gameplay or trailer to get where this is coming from. The minute you see the detail, combat, graphics, weather and massive environments your going to just want this game so bad.
On top of all this the new multi-player promises to be the best yet, with new characters, maps and modes to give us even more time enjoying what is an epic game.
To put it simple, every so often a ridiculously realistic game comes out that you want the minute you see it, it just draws you in like a really good movie. Well, this one is one of those, you would have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to want this game.
Assassins Creed 3 releases October 30th but you can pre-order now from Amazon:
Get this one, I will be.
