Hi all,

After getting platinum for Hitman I decided to load up another two games, not new ones but good ones, first one is Rage and the second one is Dead To Rights: Retribution, I’m also playing Resident Evil 6 so I’m really trophy hunting while enjoying the games I love to play.

I’m also going to send off for Skyrim again, I got the platinum for that on my other account so this gives me another excuse to play this game again, it was a great game and I’m looking forward to playing it again.

Hoping to get The Last of Us in time for my birthday next month, but if not I’ll look forward to playing it later in the year. One of my sons has taken over playing Hitman and when he’s finished with that then I think I’ll make some videos of the different challenges on that game. I would also like to make some videos of Skyrim as there are some good funny moments in that game, maybe do some voice overs to replace the actual dialogue with some fun stuff.

That’s all for now, hope everyone’s having fun with the games they are playing.

Hi all,

I started playing thief about a week ago and i’m very impressed. It is going to be a fairly hard game to platinum and i’m looking forward to trying to get that.  My initial play time finds me at the end of chapter one and I can’t for the life of me get every piece of loot. Of course i’m pretty determined so i’ll give it another go, and another until I get it, lol.

As far as getting through the game without a knockout or kill, that is going to be interesting, and it’s going to be difficult and i’m really looking forward to it. I find this game even better than my previous favorite, Dishonored, I believe if you can get the platinum for this game then you really are a master thief.

Will post again once I start playing my other two games, Sabotuer and Red Dead Redemption, hope some of you will post and let me know what your playing, happy gaming.

Hi all,

The Evil Within is an RPG/survival game that will be on all platforms. It will run at 30fps (which means you’ll get a really good experience), and I have just viewed a couple of trailers.

My initial opinion is that we have been waiting quite a while for a decent scare game to come out. For those of you who are getting a little bored of playing Resident Evil 5/6 this might well be for you.  The graphics are like you would imagine, fantastic and should be a great play for horror fans, like me.

I have only seen a few minutes of the trailer, but from that, it does look like a cross between Resident Evil games and Silent Hill, with maybe a little Doom type shock moments thrown in.  I want to see more and I’m going to be checking out some of the walkthroughs that is now available to view and I’ll comment more when I’ve done that.

What are your thoughts on this one, I’m interested to get some other viewpoints. Happy Gaming.

Hi all,

Started playing Borderlands 2, thanks to playstation+, as it’s a free download, yes the full game, and it’s way better than the first one. More quests, better storyline, more weapons, more enemies and even bigger, very cool.  While i’m playing this one, if anyone wants to join me in storyline or sidequests, feel free to contact me. Also if any of you need help on any quests then again feel free to invite me to your session, my online ID is RPG_Reviewer, i’m level 22 and playing as the assassin.

I believe i’m about half way through the story but as it gets more difficult then I go back to clear up all the past sidequests, then continue. I’m also trying to get the platinum trophy for this one so am trying to complete everything if that’s any help to any of you who want to join me.  That’s about it for now, see you on the battlefield, lol.

Hi all,

Yet again it’s been awhile since my last post, been busy doing lots of stuff but I have managed to still get some game time in. My latest game is Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen. This game is quite huge and it has a little of skyrim, assassins creed type games, yet it’s got it’s own uniqueness about it.  Very open world, the story can be completed fairly quickly if that is all you do but if you decide, like me, to explore and do virtually every quest you will be on it quite a while.

The story isn’t anything too special but there are a great many attributes that make this game very addictive. You have the main quest,  sub quests or notice board quests, then you have side quests which are not from the notice boards but from individuals in the many different towns.  You have many vocations you can choose from, well actually three main vocations with a sort of sub vocation. An example is, if you choose to be a Strider , like me, you can then choose to be an Assassin, or if you choose Mage, you can then become a Mage Archer etc..very good fun. There are also a multitude of weapon types and variations which can be upgraded dramatically.

I’ve played through the storyline about 6 times, mainly to get everything I didn’t get on past playthrough’s  and also to get my levels up high enough to enter the depths of Bitterblack Isle, which is just a crazy place with unique monsters and unique weapons and armor. The creators mentioned you may not want to attempt BitterBlack Isle until you are at least level 50. Personally, I would recommend strongly that you are closer to level 100.  I go down there now to get some upgrades and still find it a challenge to go all the way to the bottom levels and i’m at level 130, I don’t know what the cap is but i’m guessing it’s around 200.

This game is free if your a playstation plus member and is definitely worth it if your a fan of games like Elder Scrolls. Happy gaming.

Hi all,

I managed to get 60% of the trophies before having to start over as I managed to glitch the whole game somehow, could be because it was a download, I don’t know.  Anyway, I was in the middle of a quest when the game froze, when I came back I couldn’t fast travel anywhere.  Long story short, I decided to start over on hard mode as that is a trophy too.  Shame that I had 167 Lorestones out of the 170 needed, but I’ll get them again.

I’m actually enjoying playing through a second time, it’s like watching a really good movie the second time around, you get to notice all the stuff you missed the first time.  I’m finding that I’m doing all the side quests in order to get my level up high enough to defeat the main quest bosses on the hard mode, it’s a pretty good strategy.  I’m also putting points into the image side of things this time around to get the dispels trophy etc…

Well, I’m looking forward to playing a good few days on hard mode, it’s a really enjoyable game so if you are getting bored of not playing a decent RPG, then give it a go, it’s pretty cheap now too.

Hi all,

I decided to get my playstation+ membership back again and much to my amazement they were giving away Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, i’ve been wanting to play this game for some time since trying the demo.  It is a huge game but it is also a huge download, massive in fact, 14 Gigs so it took a good few hours to download and install but it was most definitely worth it.

Will be going for the platinum for this game so i’ll be on it a while, it has a mixture of several other games, most noticeable is a little of Fable, Dishonored, Morrowind as well as a few others, it’s not a copy of any of these games, it’s just that while playing it, it reminds you of these games depending on what your doing at any specific time.  You’ve got a main quest with a ton of side quests.  You can have a choice of several types of play, mage, thief, scout, warrior etc…you can play it stealthily or head on or a mixture of the two, it’s entirely up to you.

You can also change your skills at different points in the game which is also cool, personally I would rather play through the whole game with each choice rather than switch half way through. You have the fast travel ability once you have visited a place once which is very handy as many side quests require you to revisit certain areas.  I’m not going to give away any spoilers but if you like either of the above mentioned games you really should give this one a go, try the demo at least although the demo doesn’t do it justice. If you try the game you will know within half an hour if it’s for you or not, very addictive.

Keep an eye on my facebook account for live trophy updates and how i’m doing.

Hi all,

Haven’t posted in a while due to i’ve been busy when not playing games, most recent game which i’m still playing is Assassins Creed II, I have platinumed this one under my old account so I decided to add it to my new account, and I love this game anyway. I’m at 70% trophies after just three days but i’ll probably end up spending a few days just trying to find all the feathers again, lol.  Played a lot of Metal Gear Solid 4 before that, haven’t got the platinum for that yet, not sure I will either as there is one really hard trophy on there. You have to complete the game on the hardest mode in under 5hrs without using any health or special items, and you cannot be detected, virtually impossible for me.

Anyway I just purchased PS+ membership again for the next three months so i’ll probably end up playing Saints Row 3rd which also looks like another good game and i’ll be checking out some of the other freebies for playstation plus members tomorrow. If anyone wants to keep track of my trophies I do get them published in real time to my facebook account. Feel free to send me a friend request or ask any questions. Also let me know what your playing at the moment and what you would like to play in the future.

Hi all,

After playing awesome RPG’s like Skyrim and Assassins Creed 3 it almost leaves a void. I’ve been looking around at new releases and games soon to be released and I find myself almost expecting too much from a game now. I think i’ve searched through 50 trailers today and I find myself finding fault with many of them, simply because i’ve been spoilt with the previously two mentioned games.

Having said that, I have managed to find at least three games to put on my list. One is Bioshock Infinite, even though I haven’t seen enough of this one yet, i’m convinced this one won’t let me down. Another one is Tomb Raider, and I don’t think this one will be one of those massive hits due to the fact that a couple of previous Tomb Raider games was a disappointment. I think that will change for those who give this new one a chance.

Another very good choice (I believe) is going to be The Last of Us. From what i’ve seen so far this one will be very open and extremely fun and interesting to play, I like games that keep my attention constantly and this one looks like one of those. Well that’s the three games i’ve put on my reserve list at Gamefly and i’m hoping to get at least one or two of them the day they are released.

Let me know of your choices this 2013 and why, I may just give them a look see. Happy gaming.

Hi all,

Yes it finally arrived in the mail today, and what did I do? You’ll never guess so i’ll tell you, I put it in my system and loaded that baby up didn’t I??? Of course I did. Once over the initial shock that I actually had it in my possession, I started to play, and what can I tell you? Well I can’t put it into words really, you know when you see something for the first time and your genuine reaction is “woooouuw (long wow), that’s my reaction, but that reaction is pretty dull compared to what you feel inside, it’s an amazing game from the outset.

Firstly you notice how much better the graphics are, and no, there are no youtube vids out there that does this game justice as far as the graphics go. After the first initial part, the prologue or whatever it’s called, you end up taking a ship to Boston, no spoiler, it’s just where you go, takes about 70 days to get there by boat but when you get there, this first place is massive, I mean talk about open world, this is like never ending, I spent 2hrs exploring the area before performing the first task and didn’t see everything or come to a place that wasn’t accessible, it seemed like I could run or swim forever, eventually I had to turn back before I lost the initial marker for the first task.

I can see me writing a lot about this game over the coming days, there is so much to do, so many side quests and places to visit, it reminds me of something like Assassins Creed in Skyrim, it’s just huge. I’ve got to stop writing so I can play some more, I haven’t even started playing as Desmond Miles yet, lol.

Will update again tomorrow and over the weekend, hoping to make some videos of this one too.

Tony 🙂
