Hi all,

Been trying to finish up my bounty quests today, one more to go and it’s a beast of a Wyvern and it’s in Redhorn, I remember this from before I lost my data and even at GR 22 I couldn’t beat him. I am stronger this time around and all knights are upgraded well so I may just be able to get him. Take about an hour just to find him though as he is right over the far side from where you enter Redhorn Isle.

I know I have a chance at this one as I just completed the second from last one which is the same level, gave me a whopping 120,000 GR points too so if I can get this last one it will put me a lot closer to GR 22. The bounties I have completed today alone have netted me around 500K so i’m hoping when I go online a bit later i’ll only need around 500K

I did get another trophy to pop earlier, a “Gold Plaque” awarded for completing 40 monster slaying quests, it’s one of the hidden ones so I was happy to see that one pop up.

Will update more over the weekend, looking forward to Monday as I join my new guild then, guildmaster will be a questing buddy Abu and i’m looking forward to seeing this guild grow.

Guild Rank 21 Now. |

By Tony

Hi all,

Hit guild rank 21 yesterday morning and that felt pretty good, also got Vell opened up now because I finished story the day before so running everything that I want to run, next will be looking forward to GR 22 so more will open up.

The guild rank i’m really heading towards is 23 as that is when I can put even better gear on, i’ve also acquired a couple of GR 23 weapons which i’m looking forward to using. I did manage to pick up a rare shortsword from Vell 1, because it was one of the unidentified weapons it was fully upgraded once I had it appraised in the shop and it has an attack of around 200 but also has over 200 magic, after asking around it is for those rare sword mages but it may come in handy for me while i’m a shortsword user, will test it out later.

Still trying to upgrade my gear i’m wearing at the moment to +10, got one piece to +8 and the rest is around +5 or 6, but it’s a good set and i’ll probably keep it until I hit GR 23

That’s about it for now, will update again in a couple of days.

GR 19 and Level 73 |

By Tony

Hi all,

After hitting GR 19 yesterday morning I spent the rest of the day questing for materials to get some better gear, also got my level to 73, hopefully tonight i’ll be able to hit level 75 so I can equip some good weapons.

At the moment i’m a short sword user with bow as back up although I haven’t been using the bow as yet, i’m going to switch to bow as main when I hit level 75 as I have a level 75 bow which should be pretty cool.

I think this time around when I hit level 80 and GR 20 then i’ll get my 4 rebirths out the way, this will take a couple of days but I want to get to my main last build which will be bow and spear, using spear as tank and bow as damage/agility/tank if I can set it all up the way I want it.

I’m really missing GR 22 which is where I was before my corrupt save file hit me but hopefully will be back to where I was in a couple of weeks.

Last night was a lot of fun, I ran quite a few Free Monster Quests (FMQ) with some higher ranked players and hit the Chaotic zones, got tons of high priced materials and even some very rare items (worth over 3K each), this will be great when I get the binding shop to level 20 as i’ll be able to make some awesome level 80 weapons and armor.

Ok that’s about it for now, looking forward to playing for a few hours tonight, also when I get back to level 80 and GR 22 i’m thinking of making a few videos of some of the quests to upload to youtube and link them here, should be fun and also will show noobs how some of the quests are run.

Hi all,

Very nice, hit guild rank 19 about an hour ago, now I can get my level up to 75, and get me some decent gear. Actually I got decent gear at the moment for my level, but now I can get even better gear.

Ran a bunch of Demithor In Peril quests from a town that was max in ores so got a ton of good mats too, should be able to get the binding post up a couple more levels later. Going to attempt to finish story mode again today, then head back to our guild to quest with some of the other members.

That’s about it for now, will update again later.

Hi all,

Yes I made it to GR 18 after a couple of late nights, going to be a bit of a long haul to GR 19 but at least it’s allowed me to level up to 70, which in turn means I am now wearing some half decent armor and actually manage to deal some reasonable damage for my guild rank and level.

This also opened up some more errands for me which i’m slowly going through, the errands are worth doing as every so many you get given a bunch of guild rank points, from 20k up to 60k which really helps out.

Another really good thing that happened was that our guild “In God We Trust” managed to hit level 9 tonight, we was all sweating there for a while as we didn’t really know if we would make it or not. Now i’m looking forward to getting in there tomorrow to find out what is new in the store, should be more armors and weapons (i hope)and apparently a better chance of vessels in the geostone exchange.

Hopefully by the weekend I may hit GR 19 which will then allow me to hit level 75, and I also hope to finish up most of the errands and bounties. I may even get the chance to level up Leonard enough so I can finish story mode, that would be cool.

Will update again tomorrow if I get on.

Still GR 17 |

By Tony

Hi all,

Yes i’m still Gr 17 but should make Gr 18 tonight, there is an event at the guild to help everyone get their guild rank up so i’ll be running quite a few quests hopefully.

In the meantime I have managed to increase my binding rank by donating lots of things to the frog man, it’s a lot of stuff to just give away but it’s worth it in the long run as you can bind the right items and armor for your level.

I now have a couple of sets of armors for my level as well as some higher level armors for when I managed to reach the higher levels. I also got myself around 4 weapons for my current level so am doing max damage for my guild rank and level.

I’ve also started making weapons in other skills, like spears, bows and swords, this is so when I eventually rebirth I won’t have too much to do in the way of binding and will be able to use most of my mats for upgrading.

Looking forward to hitting GR 18 so I can level up to 70, and I still need to finish off some errands and bounties which will help, then finish story mode, still got to get Leonard up a few levels as he is still too low.

Will update again tomorrow.

Tony 🙂

Hi all,

Yes I actually reached Redhorn Isle, and completed it yesterday. I know many are saying that it’s like a maze but in fact it can be fairly straightforward. Having said that, it can be easy to get lost or miss an area too.

I found that by keeping an eye on your map, especially after quite a bit of fighting, you can methodically work your way around without missing anything, especially if your like me and want every chest.

What I did was to work my way left, taking out every enemy, which actually netted me some cool stuff along the way, especially with the gigas. Then work my way back towards the elevator in the center and then work my way right. The parts where you can get messed up are the little ledges that sometimes you don’t notice exactly where they are unless you scrutinize the map.

Always double check the map as you can easily step off a ledge at the wrong point and miss a chest, also try and complete a whole section before moving on, and make sure you have completed a whole side before crossing over to the other side as this will result in some missed loot.

Anyway, after completing the 3 crystal things, I got the moon maiden bow by the way, and do not miss this bow, it is located in a chest at F5 on your map. This bow will save you a whole bunch of trouble and make boss fights, especially Brimmflamme, a breeze. This bow has all four elemental attacks and they are awesome. Even this early on Yulie’s ice attack was taking off over 1200 from Brimmflamme, he didn’t stand a chance, lol.

I spent the rest of the day hunting bounties which eventually got me to GR 16 and level 64 so I was pleased with my progress. Once some of my other party members reach level 60 I will finish story mode, as I only have the Madoras battle to complete. After completing it once already I don’t need a difficult battle there, just want it out the way so I can get Vell opened up. At level 60 and myself at level 65 the fight shouldn’t be too much trouble.

It’s strange as I asked quite a few people for help last night and didn’t get any which was disappointing, usually players will help in a second, must have just been one of those nights, they either totally ignored my request, left the room or gave me a vague answer which basically meant not right now.

Eventually I found a room with some helpful guys and ran Jungle Jailbreak about 3 times which gave me another bunch of useful items.

My next step is to finish up some more bounties for my level, try and get the last 15 or 20 errands done, then level up my guild rank to around 21 or 22 so I can hit level 80 after completing story, sounds like a plan.

If anyone wants to run with me, help me, or wants help themselves just let me know or send me a friend request, online ID Tony-T-Leaf, in game ID Assassin.

The reason I took so long to write this review is because I wanted to play the game for a while first. This gives me the opportunity to write a decent review, unbiased, with no guess work.

When trying to write a good review it almost always includes a downside, Skyrim is no exception but any downsides to this game are not that bad that it spoils the overall gameplay, and you can improve on any negative issues just by taking a little extra time to do a couple of things that will make it better.

First off, you will get instances where the game will lag, quite badly at times. I have found the best way to cut down on this is to not overload your chests in your houses, this helps for some reason. I found this out because I was putting everything in one chest, which appears to be a bottomless pit, it doesn’t fill up. The game was lagging a lot, then I went to a dresser and starting putting stuff in there and it was running quick again.

Another option which pays is to delete all the autosaves, these seem to build up and don’t overwrite the previous autosaves, at least on mine they were all seperate, so I had my game save, and about 6 autosaves, as soon as I started deleting the autosaves the game didn’t suffer from lag anymore.

Apart from above there really isn’t anything else, apart from the odd glitch which most won’t even come across.

Basically Bethesda has taken everything good about all their previous games and incorporated it into this one huge game, then they have added a bunch of other stuff to improve on it even more.

This game is probably more open ended than anything previous. The added randomness of everything just gives it a ton more playability. Dragons free roaming and random encounters makes it more “real” because you can visit the same area time after time and get a different encounter or outcome.

Bethesda obviously listened to previous advice from their players because they have added all the things that everyone wanted to see and then some.

Instead of owning a house, you can own a house in every city, 9 in total, with some extra free residences which you will acquire by completing a line of questing, like the thieves guild, or becoming arch mage. You can also put your books in bookcases now, something I previously saw a lot of posts on where players were saying this would be a good idea.

Although there is a lot of randomness in the game, it is organized, you don’t just come across an animal in the middle of nowhere that seems out of place, you will come across deer or elk grazing, then you might see a pack of wolves attacking it which gives it a more sense of reality than a basic random encounter, you can watch or dive in and kill for the materials.

The other new aspect of creating weapons from scratch by using smithing is a great addition, it makes you want to experiment with everything. I think I spent a couple of days creating, sharpening and enhancing weapons, and if that wasn’t enough you can make a tidy profit when you sell them.

Everything about this game involves you, it is impossible to get bored of a game like this. I played for more than a week before I rode my first horse, I just didn’t want to ride one, I wanted to explore everywhere by foot because you can miss so much just by traveling by horse.

The towns are so interactive and with virtually endless quests I can honestly see me playing this game off and on for years, this is the kind of game you can just cut yourself off from reality for a few hours and become immersed in something extremely enjoyable, like a really good movie.

The list is endless on what this game can do for you, and what you can do in the game. Harvest flowers, catch insects to make potions, kill animals and use the hides, kill dragons for some of the best armor in the game, join all the factions, buy a house, decorate your house however you want, explore dungeons, ruins and caves which are not small by any means, some caves and ruins can take up the best part of a day to explore.

Overall Bethesda did not let fans down this time around in any way, I would go as far as to say that what most of us expected was nothing compared to what we got, me personally? I’m extremely impressed, and if this game had $100 price tag i’d still buy it, can’t wait for the game of the year edition, you know there will be one.

Rating out of 5 = 5 simply because it’s as close to perfection as you can get right now with a game, and that is based on graphics, main storyline, playability and the amount of things you can do to keep you wanting to play more.

I’ve been watching some videos of the latest Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and every time I watch something that I haven’t seen before it just makes me want it all the more.

The latest video I saw was Todd talking about how they moved into new ground again by giving us an infinite amount of quests. I don’t understand the technical side of this but its all to do with this new engine they used which seems to be able to create quests on the fly, meaning you will never actually be able to finish everything in the game because its endless, talk about cool.

I played morrowind for what seemed like forever but this one, at least for a while, is going to be the ultimate gaming experience. The first game of its kind that doesn’t end, and lets face it, fans of the Elder Scrolls don’t really want it too.

One of the most frustrating things about really good games, is that once you’ve completed them, you have to wait like 2 maybe 3 years to get the next one, with this, we will have something to continue playing right up until the next installment.

I think my biggest worry with something this huge and open ended is whether I will get any time free to play some of the other awesome games out there. Being able to make a game that is endless certainly gives value for money, one of the biggest letdowns with games is they cost so much and when you get a game that can be completed in a few days it seems a waste of hard earned cash. With a game that is never ending we will definitely be getting our moneys worth, thanks Bethesda, now let me play it already !!!

Dragon Age 2 |

Well i’ve received my copy of the new Dragon Age 2 and I must say it’s awesome.

I’m not going to say it’s better than the first one, at least not just yet as i’ve only been playing it for about 4 days, but it is pretty cool.

For the most part nothing has changed, the battle system is the same as before as are the upgrades and items, weapons and tactics are all the same, just tweaked a little which is how you want it really, no new stuff to try to get used to.

Totally different main story which is a refreshing change even though there are plenty of references and characters that pop up which you recognize or remember from the first.

The game is much quicker than the first one, fighting is extremely fast paced compared to the first.

As you progress through the game quests become more lengthy and harder which was a good thing for me as in the beginning I started to think it was a little too easy.

One thing to keep in mind, before you finish the last part of the main quest at any time make sure you finish everything else first, companions to visit (who can give you quests), sidequests and secondary quests. If you don’t, once you finish the main quest and move on to the next section the previous subquests will not be available.

I love the fact that you can upload your previous character from the first one although I haven’t tried this yet. I will do this on my second playthrough.

If you want to platinum this one be prepared for multiple playthroughs like the first one.

Tony:)
