Well in between playing WKC i’ve been playing my latest rental game which is Uncharted 2, was doing really well until I messed up on crushing mode.

Started the game on crushing but when I stopped playing and then played another day I must have reloaded the hard mode so only have the first 10 chapters completed on crushing, kind of mad about that so now have to replay from chapter 11.

Not too worried as it is a good game, just a shame I wasted probably a day and a half playing hard mode when I thought I was playing crushing, lol.

Have all offline trophies apart from 2, need two more treasures for the 100% and the crushing mode for completion of offline trophies.

Still waiting for some help on one trophy that I can’t get even though I know where it is.

Went on WKC a couple of times but not many playing and the few friends I did see on were either in full rooms or not showing so hope to catch more of you this coming week if your still playing.

Gaming Banter, WKC Online

Hi all,
Well i’m still grinding for Guild Rank 11, I managed to hit another trophy last night, 20 S rank quests completed which now gives me 34%.

A couple of things worth mentioning, first if you find yourself getting a bit burned out grinding away at the same old quests you may want to consider re-incarnating, as well as it being one of the trophies (to learn 4 skills) you’ll find that re-incarnating will truly help your attributes.

I’ve noticed a few players have totally learnt the longsword skill or the bow skill but didn’t bother with the healing skills, those skills are probably the most important in this game.

Although when playing with 4 players there is usually a healer it is always good to have the option of being a healer yourself, especially when some quests require you to split up. Another attribute of the healing skill is “raise” which is an excellent skill to have in your bar for when a player falls, and believe me it happens to even some of the best players.

The last few days saw a couple of new quests become available which are much more difficult than the earlier ones. One is “Giant Headache” which i’ve played with some excellent partners and achieved an S rank, as well as getting hold of some rare gold faces which was needed for upgrading.

The other new quest is “Greaver Hunt”, if you thought one greaver was hard this one is a real killer, it only gives you 30 minutes and there are six of them, i’ve only managed to complete it twice with 4 players and both times only managed an A rank, so far this one has been my nightmare quest.

Another tip for those wanting to complete “Dragons Heat” 1 & 2 in the Bunker Lode Caverns, there is a neat little trick for defeating the two dragons at the end, when the boss fight starts up if you all run back to the tunnel only the nearest dragon will follow, allowing you to kill one dragon at a time. I thought this was worth mentioning as I had a go on this one last night and there was only three of us so they decided to opt for only one dragon showing at the final battle, this obviously resulted in a lesser amount of items and guilder as well as guild rank points, I couldn’t tell the other two about the way to kill both dragons as I only have the ability to type via the controller and it takes me forever, at least you know in future even with 3 players both dragons can be killed.

At the moment i’m trying to take on several quests to acquire Knave Panels, Gold Faces, as well as trying to pick up some demon fossils and black iron ore along the way. So the two quests i’m mainly running at the moment is “Home Of The Knave 2” in the Dogma Rift and “Giant Headache 1” in the Flander Trail so if anyone wants to join me i’m always looking.

For those that know me now, if your ok with the way I play next time you see me add me to your friends and we can team up for future quests.

For those that haven’t played me yet I basically follow and fight, nothing special, I don’t usually take the lead unless it’s a quest i’m comfortable with, I usually build my combo up as early as possible but save it until I think it’s needed, usually from the middle of the fight or towards the end, hey i’m an assassin, I like to finish things off,lol

I’ve been the healer a couple of times but usually I only heal others as they need it while i’m fighting, I more often than not use the inspire spell to up everyone’s attack.

You can nearly always tell when i’m going to kick my combo on because i’ll always use inspire before the combo.

I’m not too interested in creating a room but am more than willing to join anyone in their room for questing, depending on the quest. I also don’t mind helping out lower GR players with quests they are finding difficult to either complete or are managing to complete them but without the S rank. Seriously, if you need some help i’m willing to do so.

If your wanting to contact me on the WKC server my players name is Assassin, spelt exactly like that, with a capital A, and if you still can’t find me my online username is Knightofthe9.

Will update some more as the weekend comes to an end, hopefully i’ll hit Guild Rank 11 sometime next week, i’m really looking forward to some of the weapons i’ll be able to get my hands on (hopefully).

Tony 🙂

This game is one i’ve been waiting for a long time now, i’m a final fantasy fanatic ever since I played my first final fantasy on ps1, I think at that time it was about final fantasy 6 or 7 and it was awesome.

I’ve just watched the trailer for this latest final fantasy and it looks like it’s been worth the wait, the graphics are stunning, no other word for it, the gameplay looks like it’s as good as it’s ever going to get, in fact i’ve just pre-ordered mine without even thinking too much about it which is rare for me, it looks that good.

Available on both the PS3 and XBox360 and around $60 I believe it’s going to be one of the few games worth the money you spend on it.

You can pre-order from amazon with the pre-order price guarantee and this is one game you won’t be disappointed with.

If you have on demand on your tv the final fantasy official trailer is under cutting edge, check it out man.

Game Description:
Prepare to be blown away by the first Final Fantasy game to harness the power of HD. Follow a new cast of characters who have been cursed with a horrible fate by the gods. Will they have the courage to stand up and reshape their destiny? Experience seamless transitions between gameplay and cinematics as the franchise’s already remarkable visuals gain an unprecedented level of detail. Play has been rebuilt around a new Active Time Battle system and a new game mechanic that makes the action more immersive than ever. Execute multiple commands in a single turn, redefine your party members’ roles mid-battle, and deal crushing blows with a powerful new summons system.

Yes they still have the familiar chocobo’s, wouldn’t be the same without them, lol. And it looks like you can still summon, I still find myself calling them GF’s and I can confirm that there are PS3 trophies/XBox360 achievements.

Ok my latest exploit isn’t my usual RPG, in fact it’s not even an RPG, it’s a shooter. Now don’t give me a hard time on this, hear me out ok.

I was waiting for Borderlands to turn up and in the meantime i’d added some games purely because they had trophies, I am a bit of a trophy hunter and I think it’s a decent feature on the PS3 system, I actually get a kick out of seeing those pop up trophy messages in the top right hand corner of the screen, it’s like acknowledging that you’ve actually achieved something, like a pat on the back for doing a good job.

Anyway one game which was added to the list was a hunting game called cabela’s outdoor adventures 2010, now I already see the criticism but it was initially put on the list first because it had trophies and second because a couple of my boys wanted to play it too.

So, while waiting for Borderlands to show it’s face this Cabela’s turns up first, so I give it a go, and yes, you guessed it, it happened to be a half decent game, not my thing at all but it was a bit of fun, really.

It actually only took me around 8hrs to complete the main story mode and another 2 hours to complete trophy mode, which makes it one of the easiest games to achieve a platinum trophy for your PS3 collection if your a trophy hunter.

Ok a bit about the game, at best for those like myself it’s a break from the norm, a bit of fun and I think if it was any longer than it was it wouldn’t have been enjoyable, sorry to those fans of Cabela’s that wish they were longer but I think the balance was perfect.

You get to go through four states in america to hunt pretty much every creature you can legally hunt, you gain access to a wide variety of rifles, shotguns and even a couple of bows (which was fun), a hundgun and some special accessories which make the hunt that much easier, a treestand to shoot from up high, some bear and deer scent to attract the beasts your going to kill, some cover spray so they can’t detect you so easily and so on.

The story mode is fairly straightforward and you can’t wander off too far without a tree blocking your way or water you can’t cross so you will always come across the animal your supposed to be hunting.

Most of your PS3 trophies you will obtain by following the main quest but there are a couple that you could easily miss, like one trophy is for killing animals with each weapon, sounds easy but it’s easy to forget to change your weapon that you just recently unlocked, so as you obtain a new rifle or shotgun then try to use it.

Another trophy which seemed easy enough was use iron sights only, well I looked and looked and couldn’t find no iron sights, what it actually meant was take the sights off the gun so you just use the iron sights of the gun.

All in all a pretty good game, enjoyable, not too long that you’d get bored of it, a decent bit of fun and another platinum trophy under your belt. Not a buyer unless you really love these kinds of games but a definite rent.

If anyone decides to give it a go and gets stuck just let me know and i’ll help you out as there are about two or three hidden areas which could be easy to miss, mostly on the opportunity hunts.

After playing this one i’ve decided to add Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010 to my rent list as this one has over 50 trophies too, I think secretly i’m actually looking forward to playing it.

Keep your eye out for my review of that one, hey, I gotta do something while i’m waiting for the good stuff to turn up.

Tony 🙂
