Yes after achieving my GR12 sword, the Witchblade, I decided to try and check out some of the GR 15 armor. Now if your liking this game as much as me and your on your way to GR 15 here is some major advice. Save as much money (guilder) as you can, i’m not talking about a few thousand, I mean a few million if not more.
Yes the ultimate armor sets are extremely expensive, a good example is the set i’m going for, it’s called the Warlord armor, four seperate pieces and just the chest piece and the pants piece costs around 2 million guilder, then you have to upgrade them, but it is worth it. There are some really cool stats on fully upgraded GR 15 armor sets.
I have had many requests for friends and many mails asking for help so people are still coming into WKC which is great. I’ll be writing a post for the newcomer to WKC as it can be a bit wierd at first, I remember being at GR 1 and felt like I could not run any quests and felt intimidated by even GR 3 or 4 players but everyone is great and will help you out and it really does make for a great game.
I recommend getting involved in this game, i’m probably a little too involved, I love the game but it’s going to make for an even greater game when WKC 2 comes out. My prediction is going to be a release date for christmas, that is only my personal opinion but even if it is next year you still have to time to platinum this game, it’s hard but very possible, just takes a huge amount of time.
Tony 🙂
Yes I got my Witchblade last night, thankfully I already had enough items to upgrade it straight to 7, it was a little disappointing because even at that upgrade it’s not as powerful as my GR 11 blade, have to get it to 10 which shouldn’t be too difficult now.
I felt a bit silly last night as I found BO’s room with a few friends in it and said I would run a quest with them, the quest they ran was one of the few quest I had never run before. I know that sounds strange but there are several quests that i’ve never bothered with and this was one of them so I apologize for letting you guys down a bit, felt like a right newbie, they even had to abort and start over thanks to me but they had the patience to try again and we completed the quest, just not with an S rank which they probably would have got if I hadn’t have been there.
I will make it right next time, i’m going to make a point of running all the quests I haven’t tried, this will also give me some new items i’ve never had before. I got my 50 S rank quest trophy and guess I never bothered running the other quests, think there are about 8 i’ve never done before.
Anyway i’m pleased I now have a Guild Rank 12 sword in my possession, may put off rebirthing for another few days, still want to do that though.
Tony🙂
P.S. BO I noticed you’ve been calling me Mike for a while now, not sure where that confusion came from but next time you frequent my blog you’ll know that my name is actually Tony, lol, hope there isn’t another Assassin out there.
Well after all this time I may just get me my GR 12 sword, I need three bloody cloths to obtain the Witchblade, not the blade I was hoping to get but after playing so long with a GR 11 blade it will be a relief to get at least one GR 12 sword and the Witchblade is one of the best longswords available. I have heard it’s a pain to upgrade though.
I was hoping to get it last night but could not find anyone running any of the Knave quests, I solo’d Home of the Knave 1 and 2 but it seems I can’t get a bloody cloth from those quests, think it has to be the 3rd one and I can’t solo that one, sooner or later i’ll find someone running it, patience is a virtue.
I’m still considering the rebirth I mentioned in my last post, even if I get the Witchblade, just want to try something completely different for a change.
Not much closer to my last two trophies but i’m still working on it, I think out of the two the binding one will come first as i’m binding quite a few lower end items that I missed.
Haven’t had the time to write my post on the new Assassins Creed but i’m going to try and work that in this weekend so check back if you want to know all the latest info on that.
Tony🙂
Yes i’m seriously considering reincarnating one more time in White Knight Chronicles. I’ve rebirthed five times up until now and although I don’t particularly enjoy working my way back up to level 50 it’s not so bad, probably take about a day now.
There are several reasons why i’m thinking about this, the first is mainly because no matter what I can’t seem to get a GR12 longsword, the second reason is i’ve seen some seriously heavy attack combos with players using the spear, the added extra with the spear is that you can hold a shield too which boosts your attributes even more.
My biggest problem with another rebirth will be what skill trees to use so i’m looking for some help here before I decide to do this or not. BO is a spear user and if your reading this BO I would very much appreciate your input. I want to keep the Divine magic set as I still want to be able to heal, raise, haste etc…they are quite important in most quests, at least to me they are.
So keeping the Divine magic tree and then the spear tree is already taking up a fair amount of my skill points. Obviously I don’t have to max them to 100% and I probably wont, the trick is how to even everything out decently but still keep what I want.
In the Divine magic skills I don’t use fatigue, molify, slow, or silence so I won’t waste points on those. At the same time I want to have a second weapon skill available in case I don’t get on with the spear or in case I want to use another weapon on certain quests, like for enhancing with certain elements for certain battles. I don’t particularly like the shortsword as i’ve tried that but I was thinking of the bow as a second weapon, again not maxing the skill out but getting enough to at least do elemental combos.
So here is one way for me to go, probably max out spear (unless advice tells me otherwise), then get the skills I know I will use in the Divine magic, then I would still want to even out the other skills for the extra MP, HP, STR etc..and hopefully have enough left over to get say 50% of the bow skill.
The bows i’ve personally found not that hard to get hold of so I could have four bows, one for each of the elements, many battles seem to involve dragons or giants at some point which are all weak against one element at least, so my bows would give me the edge I want during these battles.
The spear I would use as my main weapon against all other enemies. Now by using spear and possibly a shield this may lead other players to automatically assume that i’m a tank, this is what I do not want to become, I love the attacking and I would get no pleasure from tanking, but again i’ve not paid much attention to what a tank actually does.
From what I know a tank uses threaten to attract all the attacks on himself while others kill the boss, this sounds fairly easy but I also heard that a really good tank will heal too, so you need to be extremely high on defense and resistance, attract the attention of the boss, take all the damage and heal if you can, no attacking could be quite boring for me leading to loss of interest in the game and I don’t want to do that, another reason I want to hear from other spear users.
At the moment i’m still working on the 10 mill trophy and the 450 item bind trophy so i’m not doing any particular quests right now, a bit of everything as I can use most drops from most quests to bind something or other, I missed a lot of lower items so i’m managing to bind quite a few each day even while i’m helping lower Guild Rank players.
I look forward to any help, advice or tips anyone can give me, if I rebirth again it won’t be until around midweek when i’ve really had chance to think about it more and gather advice from others.
Tony 😉
Well I’ve played a lot on the White Knight Chronicles and I think i’ve got to think about moving onto something else soon. I’m still running around with a GR 11 sword which still surprises me, i’m guild rank 15 and I should have been able to acquire a gr 12 sword a long time ago, doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
What I have decided to do now is to mainly play solo quests and try and get my platinum trophy, i’m still missing the 500 item bind trophy and the 10 million guilder trophy, I can get both of these on my own. I’m not being funny either, it’s a shame but there are surprisingly few players actually playing this game now compared to just two months ago.
Since watching E3 and seeing the new Assassins Creed i’m really waiting for that, it looks amazing and i’m going to be writing a fairly in depth post on this later on next week, any Assassins Creed fans should check back about mid week.
I will still play WKC even when I get the platinum because for me it is as good as some of the major games like Oblivion and Morrowind and I still go back to those and play them from time to time, WKC will also be a game like that for me and I have every intention of getting me WKC 2 as soon as that comes out.
I’m still going to be around WKC for the next month or so as it will probably take me that long to get platinum, i’m just going to limit my play to less days so I can review more new games hitting the stores.
I’ve also got some special stuff planned for the blog over the coming months but that’s for another post so check back from time to time and don’t be shy, say hi, ask questions, give some advice or just tell us what your up to.

New Game + In WKC |
ByCategories:
Gaming BanterI was asked recently what is the benefit of playing the White Knight Chronicles New Game+.
There are a lot of benefits by playing new game+ but first let me explain what that is exactly. When you complete the game for the first time you then have the option of starting the new game+, this kind of saves everything you already did in the first game but allows you to start over with a new game but with many extra items.
First of all playing the new game+ opens up new treasure chests, the one that springs to mind is the extra chests in Balandor in the cave. Also there are more items available in the shops and don’t forget to build up your georama because as you upgrade and get higher in Guild Rank you’ll get better and better items, then there is the online play but this is about the new game+
I personally played the new game+ a total of 5 times, it is a fairly quick game and I don’t think I needed to play it so many times but I was getting the feel of how everything works and making the most of item drops etc..
Wiki has a more in depth list of things available to you once you start new game+ and here is the link so you can check it out.

Hope this helps and answers your question.
Tony:)
Yes, I hit the 54 million guild rank points last night to make Guild Rank 15, so pleased with myself, it’s only taken about 5 months. Only 3 trophies left to get now for the platinum.
I want to thank all the players that have been running with me, too many to mention by name but they know who they are. Players that stand out for me include Winterjade, Chuc, Bo and T-160, these players have saved my butt literally many times and haven’t minded doing so, I thank everyone for putting up with my miscalculations and errors when i’ve made them ( and i’ve made some doozies ) and have enjoyed every minute of this game up until now.
So what happens next? For me it’s just the start, i’m going to concentrate on getting my town really sorted out and i’m still disappointed in the fact that i’m still only using a GR 11 sword, yes I get GR 12 players doing more damage than me which makes me feel bad.
I’ve been trying fairly hard to get my last Aged Dragon Skull for the Witchblade but no luck on the drops. The other GR12 sword I could get but I need 2 Fire Dragon Skulls+ which again I cannot get due to the fact hardly anyone runs this quest anymore.
I will probably continue to run King Of Dragons 3 whenever I get the chance in the hopes that I will eventually get the Skull needed for the Witchblade. I’m not too worried about getting hold of the Witchblade as i’ve heard it requires more Skulls to upgrade it.
I would settle for the Kingslayer which is another GR 12 Katana with a starting attack of 178, against the Witchblade that has a starting attack of 182 that’s not that much difference but again can’t find anyone running the quest. I’d like to get the Kingslayer which would then enable me to bind that into the Ethereal Blade which is another Katana with a starting attack of 181. I prefer this option as it seems everyone uses the Witchblade and I like to be a little different.
In the meantime i’ll be running any quests including GR1 quests to get items I missed earlier in the game so I can get the 450 bind item trophy, some earlier quests also hold items needed for creating job parts in my town.
Well, so far so good, i’m happy with everything apart from the weapon i’m using but hopefully that will change soon. Have upgraded a lot of armor, I have the full set of Shadow Armor apart from the Gauntlets, and I have most of the Bloody Armor apart from the Cuffs, I also have managed to get some Hellion Armor but that needs upgrading more, it’s all GR 12 stuff but even so i’m still having to wear Centurion Fists which is GR 10 for the strength and also Valiant Cuissess for the extra strength, that is GR 11 armor so not everything is cool.
Ok so i’ll be off to get some serious work done on my town, which means i’ll have to quest a lot to get the money needed, everything costs a fortune and money isn’t too easy to come by, I spent a million guilder last night upgrading my town to level 10 and recruiting a few level 10 residents.
Feel free to post me some tips if you have any or ask for help if you need it. See you on the battlefield.
Tony 🙂
Still a weak GR14 |
ByDue to the fact I cannot find anyone running the fire dragon quest I am stuck with my GR11 sword which is making me fairly weak for a GR14.
I’m starting to think I really should have been concentrating more on binding weapons and armor before rushing off to grind for higher guild ranks.
I’ve been running Desperate Defense most of the day trying to upgrade my shadow armor and my bloody armor but it’s a slow process with the rare drops, just one enhancement needs 5 magebeast masks +
The latest friend to be added to my list is a player going by the name of Bo, same age as me so a couple of oldies still playing the game, not sure if WKC is making me feel younger or making more grey but i’m having fun all the same. Definitely tired due to the late nights on this thing, I call it research for my blog, it sounds better.
For the first time in 3 months that i’ve been playing this game I actually met someone who had a problem with me, apparently he was a so called “tank” his own words, and he decided it was my job to keep him healed, I have to admit I did let it get to me and it showed, at the end of the day it is only a game.
I’ve met and played some extremely good players and i’m glad that they were on my side, wouldn’t have liked to fight against them that’s for sure but of all the “tanks” i’ve played with they have all (up until today) healed themselves.
If there isn’t a healer available then we all watch out for ourselves and help when and where we can, I try to do my fair share of raising and healing but at the end of the day i’m not a healer, same as i’m not a tank, I don’t expect players to heal me or raise me it’s just common curtesy when someone does it and you thank them for doing it, it also makes a lot of sense. What doesn’t make sense is when someone comes in claiming to be something they aren’t and then ordering someone else to do a job they haven’t done before, you have to show a little respect no matter how mad at the game you are.
Enough said, i’m still enjoying it a lot and I really hope to get my kingslayer katana soon, then i’ll be ok and more on par for a Guild Rank 14, occasionally I do let people down in the game through irrational thinking or making a wrong decision and I apologize for those times, most understand, a few don’t forgive but that’s life, and it’s too short to stay mad so lets have some more fun.
Welcome aboard Bo and I look forward to playing with you more tomorrow.
Tony 🙂
Yes I had a pretty good day yesterday, I not only reached Guild Rank 14 but also managed to get my bloody armor set (or at least most of it) apart from the boots and even managed to upgrade some of it.
I also got another trophy, this one was for binding 200 items so have got a way to go yet before I get the 450 bind item trophy. I also need the 10 million guilder trophy which is also very hard because as soon as you get a few hundred thousand you seem to need to spend it on something or other.
Another good bonus was the introduction of 4 more new quests which also gave a new set of armor, which now means in order to get this new set (which is pretty cool) you have to run the new quests a fair few times.
I still keep dropping back to low guild rank quests to help the newer players out and also give incentive by showing the gear and damage you can do once you get higher in rank. Most enjoy the help and are grateful and i’ve made some decent friends and also met some really good players in the higher ranks.
Making Guild Rank 14 I also managed to upgrade my town again (another 600k) but I was disappointed to find out there were no level 9 workers, only level 8 and level 10, not sure why they didn’t put any level 9 workers in the game which kind of makes level 9 town extremely expensive seeing as all it gives you is another section of land big enough for maybe one or two more houses.
Guild Rank 15 looks good with probably more armor options but also a level 10 town means I can get level 10 workers so won’t need so many and will be able to specialize in more fields.
With almost 1000hrs put into the game I can’t believe it is still so playable, what a great game and excellent value for money, the rare drops are a little too rare for my liking but it still makes you want to get them.
Station Attendant 2 is getting a little unpredictable as I was playing yesterday pyro rex dealt me a whopping 1000+ damage, never seen that one before, after that it was like he targeted me throughout and I died about 6 times during that quest and I have to thank the players with me for their patience, always someone would stop and raise me and I appreciate that, felt like a newbie actually but most understand it is random and sometimes this kind of thing happens.
Will update more over the coming days, again if anyone wants help i”m willing to drop by and help out, alternatively you can visit my town and create a room and whenever i’m on I will run a few quests with you, and I don’t mind if your guild rank 1 or 15, i’ll help anyone.
Tony;)
Wow I just can’t seem to get the few items that I need. I know the rare item drops are supposed to be 1% but you would normally expect one every now and then. I’ve played Station Attendant 107 times now and never had the turret drop or the mask+ which kind of tells you the percentage is even lower than 1%
1% generally means you may have to play the quest 100 times to get the drop although most times you wouldn’t have to play that many to get it, 107 times without either of the two drops definitely makes it less than 1% unless your supposed to play it 100 straight which is virtually impossible, not sure why they made the rare drops a little too rare, 5% would have still been hard but at least you could have eventually guaranteed the drop.
Just lately i’ve had players looking at my gear and saying things like “why do you have that sword” or “how come your still wearing GR10 stuff?” well to me it’s pretty obvious that i’m using inferior stuff for a reason, not because I want to but because I still haven’t managed to get the items needed to upgrade.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of players have dropped away from this great game and the only way to guarantee playing quests is to enter a room, I started playing rooms this week and I could always find a quest, even it wasn’t one I needed. Weekends are still popular and I hope more players start getting WKC or it looks like I may just miss the platinum trophy.
Tony 🙂
