Hi all,
Well I opened up my town today and because of a post on the message board so George could find me I had the most players ever in my room/town, there was 5 at one time which for me is 3 more than my previous ‘most’.
It was good to meet up with George at last (Genmei) and I managed to run one quest with DEATH, good to see your in Earth armor now death, sorry we only managed one quest together.
Also met two more players I hadn’t met before so ran a few quests with Toboe and Yuna, sorry couldn’t be of more help but I try to spread myself around a bit to be fair.
Hope to quest with you all again soon, twas a good day, thankyou.
Tony 🙂
Well after soloing Big Red 3 a few times I thought I would try some more level 3 quests. Last night I did Home Of The Knave 3 solo and it was reasonably easy although I did have to switch gear during the fight.
Worked out quite well as I got my Longsword combo up and hit him with that, then while he was on his knees I switched over to Spear and Shield to finish him off. Only managed A rank but I often only get A rank when playing with multiplayer anyway as we rarely do the sidequest.
I think I might try the sidequest too, not sure exactly what it is, I think you have to talk to a NPC at some point and kill all magi for S rank.
Still can’t solo Ancient Dragon but hoping to accomplish that when I get the rest of my Knightlord armor.
I’m also not spending much as i’m after that elusive 10 million guilder trophy, only got 1.8 mill at the moment which is why I farm elementals a lot in KOD 3 and I can take out the fire dragon in the hope of a dragon skull+
At the moment my stats are constantly changing for each quest as I chop and change my gear but my Longsword stats for quests like big red are ATK 388 DEF 341 RES 174 STR 210 SPR 112 AGI 156 and DEX 113 This seems ok for big red but I can easily add more STR if needed or up my AGI
When i’m using my spear I switch gear. When running a quest solo if i’m going to use spear only this is my set up: Tsukuyomi + 9 Royal Shield +10 Shadow Sollerets +10 Knightlord Pants +10 Valiant Armor +10 and Warrior Fists +10 Yes I know the Valiant armor is GR 11 but you shouldn’t think because an armor or weapon is a lower GR you shouldn’t use it, the Valiant armor gives me an added 35 VIT DEF 77 and an extra 128 HP
This set up gives me the following stats : ATK 290 DEF 605 STR 149 VIT 243 AGI 112 and DEX 113. If I start to get hit more than I want to then i’ll switch to the Warlords Cuirass giving me an added 44 AGI for a total of 156 AGI this does take away some from DEF but not enough to worry about and it means I get hit a lot less, hardly at all by mobs, if ever.
Well I hope some of this makes sense to you, i’m still experimenting with gear and i’m also trying to get more spears and swords to add elements to, soon I shall be a force to be reckoned with, at least to Kibbles and Vespids anyway, LOL.
Tony 🙂
Well here we are again with the final 9 GR 12 armor sets:
12. Drakkhen Set
Drakkhen Armor (armor) DEF 74 with added Wind attribute of +5 also resists Paralysis Drakkhen Fists (arm gear) DEF 64 with added Fire attribute of +5 resists Poison Drakkhen Faulds (leg gear) DEF 68 with added Wind attribute of +5 resists Paralysis and the Drakkhen Sabatons (foot gear) DEF 66 with added Wind attribute of +5 and resists Paralysis. Awesome starting DEF and I haven’t managed to get any of this armor yet but I want it just to see what +10 stats are.
13. Sentinel Set
Sentinel Mail (armor) DEF 67 with added Fire attribute of +5 resists Poison/Sleep Sentinel Fists (arm gear) DEF 58 with added Water attribute of +5 resists Poison/Sleep Sentinel Trousers (leg gear) DEF 54 with added Wind attribute of +5 resists Paralysis/Silence and the Sentinel Boots (foot gear) DEF 58 with added Earth attribute of +5 resists Paralysis/Silence.
I don’t have the Sentinel Armor but I have the rest, the Fists are at +9 and the stats are DEF 67 Water attribute +5 MP +16 VIT 26 AGI 21 which will all double when at +10 My Sentinel Trousers are at +9 and those stats are DEF 63 Water attribute +5 HP 70 MP 14 INT 27 and my Sentinel Boots are at +8 and those stats are DEF 66 Earth attribute +5 HP 70 STR 27 DEX 22 again those stats will double at +10 so not a bad set.
14. Valkyrie Set
This set is for the females only and it’s a good set. Valkyrie Mail (armor) DEF 67 with added Fire attribute of +5 resists Silence Valkyrie Guards (arm gear) DEF 58 with Wind attribute added of +5 resists Paralysis Valkyrie Skirt (leg gear) DEF 54 with Water attribute added of +5 resists Paralysis and lastly Valkyrie Leggings (foot gear) DEF 58 with Earth attribute added of +5 resists Poison
Six more sets to go, will continue later today:)
Ok here are the last sets of GR 12 armor and these by far are the most expensive and most difficult to obtain, some armor requires items from specific quests but are worth it in the end.
I will try and give enhanced stats where I can but even I haven’t got all this armor and the armor that I have got isn’t all the way upgraded. I would consider the two best sets in the game are the Gratos set and the Knightlord Set although I am still trying to acquire the full set of Warlord Set which is also awesome.
8. Hellion Set
Hellion Mail (armor) DEF 65 resists Sleep/Silence Hellion Fists (arm gear) DEF 56 resists Sleep/Silence Hellion Trousers (leg gear) DEF 57 resists Poison/Silence and Hellion Boots (foot gear) DEF 57 resists Poison/Silence
9. Shadow Set
This was my favorite set of armor, it just looks really cool and it went with my character, I never did manage to get the Gauntlets though.
Shadow Armor (armor) DEF 74 resists Poison/Silence Shadow Gauntlets (arm gear) DEF 68 resists Paralysis/Sleep Shadow Cuisses (leg gear) DEF 65 resists Sleep/Silence and Shadow Sollerets (foot gear) DEF 66 resists Poison/Paralysis
The stats on the Shadow armor that I do have are as follows:
Shadow Armor+9 = DEF 83 HP 96 MP+9 INT 26 don’t forget these stats will double at +10 Shadow Cuissess+10 = DEF 75 HP 152 MP 12 SPR 52 Nice chunk of extra HP there. Shadow Sollerets +10 DEF 76 HP 152 STR 54 DEX 44 Now that is some really nice stats for just one piece of armor, a really cool set if you can max it all out.
10. Hero’s Set
Hero’s Plate (armor) DEF 62 with water attribute added +3 resists Sleep Hero’s Gauntlets (arm gear) DEF 53 with wind attribute added of +3 resists Silence Hero’s Breeches (leg gear) DEF 53 with water attribute added of +3 resists Poison and Hero’s Boots (foot gear) DEF 54 with Fire attribute added of +3 resists Paralysis. I don’t have any of this set so can’t say what the end stats will be like but it looks like a good set from the starting stats, probably going to be fairly even all round at +10
11. Warlock Set
Warlock Raiment (armor) DEF 42 RES 20 resists Silence Warlock Gloves (arm gear) DEF 39 RES 18 resists Sleep/Silence Warlock Legging (leg gear) DEF 39 RES 18 resists Paralysis/Silence and Warlock Boots (foot gear) DEF 39 RES 18 resists Poison/Paralysis. This set is extremely good on the starting stats alone. I might just go for maxing this set to find out what the +10 stats will be, i’ve got a feeling this will be a very good set to have in your inventory, I do have the whole set but haven’t upgraded any of it yet but will post the results when I get it to +10
I have another 9 more GR 12 sets to list so i’ll put those in another post or this one will be too long so keep an eye out for those later today, the best is yet to come.
Tony 🙂
For those who read my blog regularly if your interested I am just now about to rebirth again, it’s almost a continuation of the last post.
I’m interested in getting the max use from spear and in order to do that I need to rebirth again as this last time I went and filled the Elemental skill tree thinking I could make use of that but I was wrong, it’s got some great spells but it’s really for mages I believe and I can’t specialize in spear if I have all those Elemental spells.
The reason i’m posting this info is if there are any of you about to rebirth or thinking of going with spear or maybe you just want to tag along i’m going to open my room up for the next couple of days.
Doesn’t matter what Guild Rank you are if you want to run some quests or just need help or maybe give me some advice on the spear your all welcome.
Be forewarned that you may see me act out of character or perform what you may think is a stupid move, it will be just because i’m getting used to the spear. Ok i’m off to rebirth again now (for the 7th time), hope to quest with some of you soon.
Tony 🙂
Ok here is the list of Guild Rank 12 armor sets, all GR 12 sets require a level 50 to be worn, they are as follows”
1. Aristos Set
Aristos Dalmatica (armor) DEF 51 RES 13 Aristos Gloves (arm gear) DEF 47 RES 13 Aristos Slacks (leg gear) DEF 48 RES 13 Aristos Moccasins (foot gear) DEF 47 RES 13 This looks like a light armor set and starting stats as you can see aren’t too bad
2. Demon Set
Demon Robe (armor) DEF 53 RES 13 (seen a few players wearing this) I apologize for this one but I don’t have the gloves/gauntlets listed in my town, I obviously haven’t unlocked that piece of armor yet but the stats will probably be the same as the leg and foot gear. Demon Culottes (leg gear) DEF 49 RES 12 Demon Boots (foot gear) DEF 48 RES 12 The whole set doesn’t seem too popular amongst players from what i’ve seen but the Robe does seem to be worn by a few.
3.Admiral Set
Now we see the stats get higher and from here will probably be the sets your looking at getting hold of. Admiral Plate (armor) DEF 62 with added water attribute of +1 also added is poison resistance Admiral Guards (arm gear) DEF 58 with added attribute of Fire +1 and also resistant to poison Admiral Leggings (leg gear) DEF 56 with Fire attribute of +1 with resistance to sleep (handy) and Admiral Boots (foot gear) DEF 56 with added Water attribute of +1 also resistant to sleep.
4.Warriors Set
Warriors Lorica (armor) DEF 64 with Water attribute added of +4 Warriors Fists (arm gear) DEF 57 with Water attribute added of +4 Warriors Pants (leg gear) DEF 57 with Water attribute added of +4 and lastly Warriors Boots (foot gear) DEF 57 with Water attribute added of +4 This would be a good secondary set if there was a big red but with an ice giant, quests with ice giants and quests with ice dragons are with other elementals which would make it impossible for changing your whole armor set just for one ice dragon, so not practical unless you reset enhancements and + them with fire, having said that I have the Warriors Lorica (armor) at +9 in my inventory and it has DEF 73 with the Water attribute of +4 but also has added HP 88 MP 16 and SPR 26 which will all double at +10
5. Mirage Set
Not too many more sets have starting stats this high, probably a good set for Tanks or players looking for a good DEF Mirage Armor (armor) DEF 74 also resists Silence Mirage Gauntlets (arm gear) DEF 65 and resists Sleep Mirage Faulds (leg gear) DEF 65 and resists Sleep Mirage Sabatons (foot gear) DEF 65 and resists Silence If your into looks you may not like the color, it’s a kind of mauve or purple color
6.Ice-dragon Set
Ice-dragon Armor (armor) DEF 74 with Water attribute added of +5 Ice-dragon Fists (arm gear) DEF 66 with Water attribute added of +5 and also resists Sleep Ice-dragon Faulds (leg gear) DEF 65 with Water attribute of +5 and Ice-dragon Boots (foot gear) DEF 66 with Water attribute added of +5 and resists Sleep
7.Bloody Set
One of my favourite armor sets for a while there, just couldn’t get the boots, but still a good armor set.
Bloody Coat (armor) DEF 51 RES 10 and resists Poison. I got my Bloody Coat to +9 and the stats are DEF 60 RES 19 HP 64 MP +36 INT 26, at +10 everything usually doubles up.
Bloody Cuffs (arm gear) DEF 48 RES 13 and resists Poison. My Bloody Cuffs are at +7 and the stats are now DEF 53 RES 18 Fire attribute of +2 HP 80 VIT 12 AGI 21 and resists Poison, again these stats double up at +10 Bloody Trousers (leg gear) DEF 60 RES 12 and resists Sleep. My Bloody Trousers are +10 and the final stats for these are DEF 60 RES 22 MP +64 STR 54 SPR 52 and resists Sleep, nice chunk of STR and MP on these. Bloody Boots (foot gear) DEF 49 RES 13 and resists Sleep. I never managed to acquire these so can’t give you the final stats on what these would be, this is a good amor set for filling in while going for other sets but it’s fairly hard to upgrade this set, it needs a lot of stuff from Station Attendant quest and we all know how easy that is right?
I still have another 8 or 9 sets to add to this GR 12 lot including a couple for the female characters so bear with me, will get those up as soon as I get the chance.
I know I was going to write the rest of the armor sets today and i’m in the middle of getting those together so it will probably be tomorrow now, there are more than I first thought but worth listing and I will do this.
I wanted to write about items that players keep asking about and to be honest there is one particular quest where you can get virtually every item you need that requires farming, I’m talking about ores, flowers, herbs, planks and branches etc…
As long as your at the magical GR 7 or higher you can run King Of Dragons 1 (actually you can run this one at GR 6), if your GR 9 or higher you can run KOD 2 and if your GR 12 or higher KOD 3.
Now I know what your thinking, you can’t possibly solo King of Dragons and your right, but you dont have to kill dragons, you can avoid them fairly easily and just on the first section where the Ice and Fire dragons are there are at least 14 pick up points where you can get stuff.
It’s a pretty good run through if you can take out the elementals, some of you won’t be strong enough yet to take on 3 or 4 elementals but if you can get the ones that are on their own that’s bonus exp and bonus items when they drop, and elemental drops are worth selling if you get enough of them.
There are ore drop points, many flower points, I actually run through this quite often to get me some Cordyceps to make my elixirs but whatever GR you are you will get a lot of what you need here. I am working on a walkthrough for this quest for item drops and their exact locations with grid reference so you can just look at the list and go straight to the pick up points you need if you don’t want to search every crate, flower bed and rock.
My last run through on this quest solo gave me many elemental drops to sell as well as scorpion drops and by the time I get to the fire dragon my combo is built up enough to attack his tail and get a bonus drop, I often let him kill me so I can restart at the save point and go towards the wind and earth dragons to get those pickups as well, it’s a really good quest for getting a lot of stuff that might usually take you forever.
Let me know if you want me to post the walkthrough for item pickups and i’ll probably do that at the weekend.
Tony 🙂
Today i’m listing all the GR 10 armor sets, there are five in all and they are as follows, all stats shown are starting stats which means all can be enhanced a total of 10 times each.
1.Elemental Set
The elemental set I believe is a favourite of those wanting to be mages and at GR 10 will be looking for appropriate armor sets. First is the Elemental Robe (armor) with a starting stat of DEF 43 RES 11 and added Fire attribute of +5 then you have the Elemental Bracers (arm gear) at DEF 38 RES 11 and water attribute of +5 next is the Elemental Slops at DEF 38 RES 11 and Wind attribute of +5 finally the Elemental Boots (foot gear) at DEF 38 RES 11 and Earth attribute of +5 This set is a pretty good all round set of armor for a Guild Rank 10 player, not just for mages.
2.Mystical Set
This set is for the ladies only, I like the idea of specific sets for the women players, I think there are just as many ladies out there playing WKC as men so it’s good Level 5 is catering for all. First up is the Mystical Robe (armor) DEF 43 RES 11 and fire attribute of +5 Mystical Bracers (arm gear) DEF 38 RES 11 and Water attribute of +5 Mystical Slops (leg gear) DEF 38 RES 11 and Wind attribute of +5 and finally the Mystical Socks (foot gear) DEF 38 RES 11 and Earth attribute +5
3.Master Set
Another good all rounder is the Master set, starts with the Master Lorica (armor) DEF 52 and Wind attribute of +4 Master Guards (arm gear) DEF 45 with Water attribute of +4 Master Slops (leg gear) DEF 45 with Wind attribute of +4 and lastly the Master Boots (foot gear) DEF 45 with Water attribute of +4 This set is a little weaker than the others but is probably lighter so it’s a matter of choice.
4.Centurion Set
One of the best in DEF for GR 10 is the Centurion Armor, stats are as follows: Centurion Armor (armor) DEF 61 with fire attribute of +3 Centurion Fists (arm gear) DEF 52 with Earth attribute of +5 Centurion Cuisses (leg gear) DEF 52 with Fire attribute of +3 and finally the Centurion Boots (foot gear) DEF 52 with Earth attribute of +5 I remember wanting this set but just couldn’t get the items needed so I went for the last set, Generals.
5. Generals Set
Generals Cuirass (armor) DEF 62 with Fire attribute of +2 Generals Fists (arm gear) DEF 53 with Wind attribute of +2 Generals Pants (leg gear) DEF 52 with Fire attribute of +2 and lastly the Generals Boots (foot gear) DEF 53 with Wind attribute of +2 This was the set I wore for quite a while and served me well
Tomorrow I will list all GR 11 sets and there are four main sets.
Tony 🙂
Before I carry on with the Armor Sets I wanted to point out a few things for making your WKC gaming experience a little more enjoyable.
One thing that is fairly important but often overlooked is the use of elemental enhancements to your weapon and armor. I didn’t pay much attention to this until I was at Guild Rank 14 and 15, i’m only just now getting elemental enhancements how I want them when I should have done this pretty early on in the game.
Ok first off we need to know what elements are and what it means to perform an elemental based attack, it sounds complicated but it’s real simple if it’s explained properly.
You have four elements, Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. In WKC you will fight a lot of elemental based beasts but they will only use one element, an example is the Fire Giant, I pick this for an example because without a doubt you will run the Big Red quest more times than any other as it’s the easiest and quickest way to get your guild rank up and a good way to make some extra guilder. Big Red is a Fire Giant so will be weak against an opposite element like Water, so when you go to your shop to repair your weapons and armor your going to try and ‘enhance’ your weapon so it is even stronger. You may want to consider enhancing your weapon with water, this will increase the amount of damage you do to any fire based beast, like Fire Giants, Fire Lizards and Fire Dragons, it’s really effective and that is probably why you will see some players doing much more damage to an elemental beast when they are using the same weapon as you and are the same Guild Rank.
The downside to this is if you enhance your weapon with Water what happens when you come across a beast which is Water based like the Ice Giant? This is where multiple weapons are handy, this is not as bad as it sounds and it adds to the playability of this game. If you say GR 7 you probably already have a few GR 7 weapons, you will have your favourite, the one that does the most damage and maybe you have two or three other weapons that are not quite as good in terms of strength, these are the weapons you should enhance with Fire and Water, you can only enhance a weapon with one element so I recommend that if you have one good weapon, for physical attacks, and two other weapons, one enhanced 4 or 5 times with Water and the other enhanced 4 or 5 times with Fire, this will improve your attack by a huge amount against the right enemies.
I am GR 15 and my physical attack sword is the
Witchblade, it does some serious damage but is not enhanced with an element, the Witchblade is a GR 12 sword. I also have the Gram sword which is only a GR 11 sword and that is enhanced five times with Water, this sword does almost twice as much damage to Big Red than my Witchblade, that’s the beauty of enhancing with elements. I also have a Garrison Blade which is only a GR 10 weapon and this is enhanced with Fire, again a fairly weak sword for a GR 15 player but it still does way more damage than the Witchblade against Ice Giants and Ice Dragons.
So I hope i’ve explained that properly as now you can be the one doing all the damage on Big Red instead of being like me and feeling like a noob.
Whatever you do make sure you equip the right weapon for the right monster or beast. I have made the mistake by running a quest that has both Ice and Fire Dragons and after killing the Ice dragon forgot to change weapons and wondered why I was only taking 150 damage off the Fire Dragon when I should have been hitting him for over 500
Another important ‘skill’ I use is Haste, it is under Divine Magic and is the skill tree that has Heal, Cure, Revive etc..I’ve seen many players not using Haste but to me it’s one of the most important skills of the game, if you can cast Haste before the start of a boss it could be the difference between an S rank and an A, over the course of a boss battle taking 5 minutes you will probably get in 8 to 10 more attacks than someone who isn’t using haste.
If you have any questions that I haven’t covered here feel free to ask and i’ll do my best to answer them.
A good way to experiment with your elemental enhancements is to buy a real crap weapon and enhance it with Water and go run Big Red 1, you may get killed but you will be able to get a few attacks in, write down the damage you do then try a better weapon enhanced with water, or better still run Big Red 1 without enhancements, see the damage you do, then enhance with water and you’ll see what i’m talking about, it really does make a huge difference.

Gaming BanterI’m writing this post mainly as a request from DEATH (username). Sounds like Death is doing quite well at the moment and wanted to know more about the armor sets available.
The binding shop only lists armor from GR7 which is why i’m going from GR7 up to GR12 armor sets and their starting stats, where I can I will list the +10 stats of the armors that I know. There are other sets available but only listed by Lv like Wizard set is Lv 30+ but there isn’t a GR so i’m assuming everyone will see all those as soon as they get into the binding shop. Following armor sets are starting stats only, each can be enhanced to a maximum of +10
Ok your Guild Rank 7 stuff is as follows:
1. Windwalker Set
This consists of Windwalker Coat (armor) and you have to be at least Lv 39 to wear it. DEF starts at 28 RES 8 and Wind attribute +3. Windwalker Gloves (arm gear) starts with DEF 23 RES 8 Wind attribute +3. Windwalker Slops (leg gear) starts with DEF 23 RES 8 Earth attribute +2. Windwalker Boots (foot gear) starts at DEF 23 RES 8 and Earth attribute +2. This is the set I recommend at GR7 because I really don’t think you will be at GR7 long enough to worry about anything else, you’ll be aiming for the GR8 armor as soon as you can.
2.Breaker Set
This set consists of Breaker Mail (armor) and you need to be at least to Lv38 to wear it. DEF starts at 34 and has a water attribute of +2. Breaker Fists (arm gear) has DEF 27 only to start, no added attributes. Breaker Culottes (leg gear) starts with a DEF 27 and water attribute of +2. Breaker Boots (foot gear) DEF 27 only, no added attributes.
3. Forest Set
Finally the third set of GR7 gear is the Forest gear which includes
Forest Armor (armor) starting at DEF 33 with wind attribute +2. Forest Gauntlets (arm gear) start at DEF 24 with water attribute +2. Forest Cuisses (leg gear) DEF 24 with wind attribute +2. Forest Sabatons (foot gear) DEF 24 with water attribute +2.
GR 8 Gear starts like this:
1. Magical Set
You have to be at Lv 42 or higher to wear this gear.
Magical Robe (armor)starts with DEF 33 and RES 9 Magical Bracers (arm gear) DEF 28 RES 9 Magical Slops (leg gear) DEF 28 RES 9 and Magical Shoes (foot gear) DEF RES 9.
2. Earth Set
Earth Mail (armor) DEF 40 with an added attribute of +2 Earth. Earth Fists (arm gear) DEF 33 and added attribute of Earth +2 Earth Trousers (leg gear) DEF 33 with added attribute of +2 Earth and finally Earth Footwear (foot gear) DEF 33 with added attribute +2 Earth.
3. Doom Set
Doom Plate (armor) DEF 40 Doom Gauntlets (arm gear) DEF 31 Doom Breeches (leg gear) DEF 31 and lastly Doom Boots (foot gear) DEF 31. This set seems to be the most popular at GR 8. I’ve just checked my inventory for some Doom gear and I have the Doom Gauntlets at +7 which has added HP +3 and VIT +1 which doesn’t seem much but at GR 8 it’s probably quite handy and those stats generally double once at +10
4. Blue Set
Blue Cuirass (armor) starting stats are DEF 47 and looks like the best GR 8 gear for starting stats, don’t know why I never owned any of this gear, probably too difficult to get at the time or just simply I wasn’t planning on spending too long at GR 8 myself. Next is Blue Gauntlets (arm gear) DEF 38 with added attribute of Water +3 Blue Breeches (leg gear) DEF 38 and finally Blue Greaves (foot gear) with a starting DEF of 38 and added attribute of +3 Water.
GR 9 stuff posted tomorrow.
